eanuts and Cracker Jack? That's so boring. A normal hot dog? Meh.
Now that baseball season is in full swing — pun intended — stadiums across the country are bringing their "A" game when it comes to giving the classic ballpark frank some ridiculously caloric (but creative) modifications.
According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, these are some of the best that you can consume.
Canteen Dog — Citizens Bank Park
A hot dog on a toasted bun topped with roasted vegetable mayonnaise, grain mustard, cabbage slaw, and pickled jalapeños.
So I guess you can say there are veggies?
The Everything Dog —Turner Field
A foot-long hot dog piled high with fries, chili, nacho chips, beer cheese, jalapeños, popcorn, and a Coca-Cola infused barbecue sauce all served on a pretzel bun.
So basically a whole concession stand and a week’s worth of fat.
Sausage Sundae — Turner Field
Who needs ice cream?
This has smoked sausage with macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, pulled pork, barbecue sauce, and a cherry tomato all in the shape of a sundae.
Cheeseburger Dog — Chase Field
A hot dog made of chargrilled hamburgers that have been ground and chopped with smoked bacon, green onion, and cheddar cheese that’s breaded, deep-fried, and served on a hot dog bun with smoked bacon and secret sauce.
The “secret” is probably as such because it would be banned by cardiologists.
D-Bat Dog — Chase Field
The D-Bat is an 18-inch long corn dog stuffed with cheddar cheese, bacon, and jalapeños.
