Dogs are really just too pure for this world, and for anyone who says that they don't have genuine feelings and the capacity to understand situations, need look no further for proof of that than this story relates. Get out your tissues.
Filmmaker Easton Dufur tweeted out this story about his two dogs over the weekend.
I can’t decide if it’s more heartwarming or heartbreaking, so I’ll leave that up for you to decide.
What you see is a photo of a dog food bowl only half eaten.
This is the accompanying story and the reason you'll need those tissues.

“So we have only one food bowl for my two labs,” he wrote. “And my dog Stitch trained my other dog Cookie to only eat half of the food that’s in the bowl. So ever since she was young she knew to leave half of the food so Stitch can have some (he liked to make sure she would eat.)”
Get ready because this is going to be you in a minute.
“Now Stitch recently passed away. And this is Cookies first time alone. So since Stitch is gone, I’ve been feeding Cookie less food. Well before I went to bed, I wanted to check to see if she ate. And so I did, and she still left half of her food there so Stitch can eat.”
ALL THE FEELINGS!
If your heart broke a little, you're not alone, as Twitter felt the same way.
“We got Stitch when I was in kindergarten,” Dufur told Mashable. “Then around the third grade is when we got Cookie. We felt that Stitch should have some company.”
"But they were like Batman and Robin they were always together they always always got along and always were playing with each other and taking care of one another," he added.
If you think your heart can handle any more, there are pictures of the two of them together…
