ill Cosby. Donald Trump. Harvey Weinstein. Bill Clinton. This has been a rough year for sexual assault cases. But then, every once in a while, one brave woman will speak out. Sadly, even when she does, often men don't believe her.
This tweet perfectly shows what women go up against when they expose sexual assault.
Twitter user @c_e_cumberland asks “why don’t people ever believe women?”
At this point, @essentialcoco replies with probably the most truthful, to the point answer ever -“Bc people don’t believe us.”
You’d think that would be the end of it. That people would just nod their heads sagely and move on.
But no – in comes Twitter user @McLennon63 with the most unintentionally powerful answer ever….
“I find that very hard to believe.”
You'd think he was joking, that maybe he wasn't serious about this, right? You'd be very, very wrong.
Turns out, @McLennon63 is the type of guy who says “I hope the authorities do not create an atmosphere where ordinary people have no choice to but to fight back,” retweets memes about disliking athletes who kneel, and retweets awful things about feminists.
Why don't people believe women?
Feel free to draw your own conclusions.
We bet you don’t have too look far to find one…
