om Brady is one of the two football players who has won five Superbowls, and the only player to win all five of those Superbowls for the same team. He's played quarterback for the New England Patriots in the Superbowl seven times, which is the most times someone has been a quarterback in the Superbowl, ever. He's won a ton of MVP awards, and some other shiny football junk that we don't really understand. The point is, he's a big player in the football world and a lot of people look up to him.
In his book, which came out yesterday, he implied that you can drink water instead of applying sunscreen and get the same results.
Tom Brady's book is called 'The TB12 Method'.
The book calls itself “a gorgeously illustrated and deeply practical ‘athlete’s bible’ that reveals Brady’s revolutionary approach to sustained peak performance for athletes of all kinds and all ages.” Tom Brady is 40 and shares his advice for sustaining athletic health as one gets older.
In the book, he gives a step-by-step guide to his personal practice.
He wants to help people reach their peak performance through hydration, pliability, strength training, and recovery. He claims that following his approach to healthy living and athletics will improve people’s lives all around.
He even includes some unique recipes for things like avocado ice cream and green juice.
Even though Tom Brady takes gastronomic risks like these, he once told a reporter that he had never tried coffee. And concerning strawberries, he told a New York Times reporter, “I’ve never eaten a strawberry in my life. I have no desire to do that… Absolutely not.”
Wait, so… he’s never tried a strawberry, but he’s absolutely certain that he hates them?
What is it you hate so much about strawberries, Tom?
And why do you take such a strong stance on this? What have strawberries ever done to hurt you? It’s sensible that you want to avoid coffee. Maybe you don’t want to develop the need to chug caffeine to start every day. But strawberries?
You will eat avocado ice cream…
...and turkey legs...
…but not one strawberry. This Brady guy is quirkier off the field than we had previously thought. In his book, he boasts about how amazing his performance has been, among other things…
