Wedding photographer drives remote controlled helicopter into the groom’s head

Aug 19, 2013 By Abraham

At a bridal photo shoot that was fortunately taking place a couple days before the wedding, this couple had a bit of a surprise when their photographer tried to take some romantic footage by flying his quadcopter by them as they stood in a field. Things didn’t go as planned…

The photographer writes in the video description…

I underestimated the lift time and it hit the groom on the side of the face. He had a cut on his cheek and and the side of his head. I felt horrible. Luckily the bride and groom were able to laugh about it after and we continued the shoot. At the request of the bride and groom I put the video online. All though it sucks that this happened. I have decided to own up to what I did, instead of try to hide it from the world.

Wow! I guess sometimes even a simple photo shoot can get a little wild and you can’t tell when you’d get hit by a miniature helicopter. Glad that the groom is safe with only minor injuries and kudos to both of them for being such good sport. Excellent post, by the way. This made me chuckle and hit the replay button a couple of times too.
