Read on to see the gorgeous snaps from her special moment...

For those who are lucky enough to have one...

A high school prom is a once in a lifetime experience to celebrate the end of a memorable chapter in one's life.

Prom is a very big deal...

Especially here in America.

Many meticulously plan their prom, down to every last detail...

The dress, the tux, the hair, the matching ties... It's a magical experience, to say the least.

It's the one thing that everyone in high school looks forward to...

Even if they won't admit it!

But this year, proms have taken a different turn...

With some being canceled completely.

High school proms all across the country have sadly been canceled due to the pandemic.

Although, alternatives have been cropping up for the countless disappointed teens left staring at unused formal wear hanging in their closets.

Prom is an annual rite of passage...

And for many young adults, the timing of this lockdown has been heartbreaking.

Well, this has sadly been the case for eighteen-year-old Jasmine Dauphine.

Jasmine, who is from Washington DC, has been dreaming about her high school prom for years. She even started planning her outfit way back in the middle of her junior year, looking to the world of haute couture and high-fashion for inspiration.

A lot of planning and organizing had gone into finding her dream prom dress.

"Originally, I wanted to wear a brown mermaid dress, but then I wanted to take inspiration from Zendaya’s 2017 Met Gala look and SZA’s 2018 Met Gala look... and I found the perfect dress online," Jasmine explained to BuzzFeed News.

With her dress secured from Lunss, she even made herself a headpiece out of a headband and some zip ties.

Jasmine's prom was supposed to take place this June but of course, it was canceled. "At first I was OK with it because it was a pandemic, and I still am okay with it! But then, I got really sad when I fully realized that I won’t be able to ever go to prom."

But instead of letting herself feel downbeat about it...

Jasmine decided to not let her efforts go to waste and get dressed up for her prom anyway!

Her sister staged a photoshoot for Jasmine's special moment.

The pair went to the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial where Jasmine posed for some incredible shots. But as she was about to leave, a photographer stopped her and asked if she too could take some photos of her because she "loved her dress."

The photos that the photographer took were incredible...

And it didn't take long for them to go viral online. Scroll on to see Jasmine's stunning prom look for yourselves...

Here is Jasmine's prom look...

And all we can say is... Absolutely stunning!

Sara Isabella Ortiz, a twenty-four-year-old wedding photographer, was the one who took the gorgeous snaps.

"I simply walked up to her and kindly asked, praying she would say yes. I am 10,000% certain she captured not only my attention," she said. "But everyone's attention that day was with her beauty!"

Jasmine has been left utterly overwhelmed by the response to her photos.

"When this went viral I was so shocked," she said. "I think I stared at my phone for 10 minutes trying to comprehend the numbers that I was seeing. It was so crazy to me."

We hope these amazing photos make up for Jasmine missing her prom this year!
