They have everything. Everything their little heart desires. Nonetheless, the holiday season is almost here. But, you have no idea what to get the kid that has everything this year. How do I know? Presently, I am in the same boat. I always try to hold out this time of year. Basically, I keep a list of the things they say they want the most. But, I’m terrible about waiting to give it to them. To clarify, my wife and I try to do alone time with each of our kids. Consequently, when they get me alone I’m powerless. Especially, with the girls.
So, I did what any writer would do if assigned an article like this. That is, of course, enlist my children to help. Ages 9, 7, and 4. We sat together at the kitchen table, coffee or hot cocoa in hand, and they helped me pick out every last one of the products below on Amazon. Rock Their Holidays
Black Adam just released this year. Finally, after what felt like forever. And, every little super hero and The Rock fan lost it. Part of that fan club is my son. I took him to see the movie because he loved the Jumanji movies and Jungle Cruise. Now Black Adam is his favorite. Almost. Spiderman still wins by a hair. But, you can only buy so many Spiderman toys. A Black Adam action figure is a welcome addition to any boys collection.
Bluey & Bingo Together Forever
My youngest daughter completely lost her cool when we spotted Bluey & Bingo plush dolls. I’m not sure what she was screaming was english. Needless to say Bluey is her favorite show. We’ve seen each episode 750,000 times. At least. I actually like the show. It has good moral teachings, seemingly without any hidden agendas. Grab these up because they will NOT be in stock for long.
Bubble Bath Party
Every time my wife or I belch out, “Bubble bath!” my kids run like we’re going to a roller coaster park. I don’t mind though. It’s so much cheaper. Add to the fun a bubble bath music machine and it’s a party. They could be in there for hours, not coming out until they have turned into human raisins, or completely converted into mermaids. Either way this is a great gift for younger kids.
Coco melon Every Thing
I don’t know how they did it. But, somehow Netflix turned Coco Melon, a lullaby cartoon of all things, into a viral kids cult. My 4 year old is very protective of her baby JJ. Slapping hands and dropping her ice cream to make sure nobody touches him type of protective. And before you say they already have a baby JJ, know that it’s never enough.
Every Princess Needs A Castle
I love that lego has finally realized that girls love building too! This Disney Princess Castle Set is a perfect example of the kits they are making for our amazing little girls. They do have smaller kits for each individual Disney Princess but my daughters said this one is the best because, “it has all the Princesses”. Who am I to argue with that?
Who Doesn’t Love Giant Teddy Bears
My wife had one of these giant teddy bears when we met. She is a kid at heart, but mostly kept it for sentimental reasons. When we first got together we moved into a small apartment and “we” decided to get rid of it. As my daughters and I were scrolling Amazon my youngest freaks out when she saw this tie dye bear. My wife looking at me across the table says in a cold voice, “If you get that you have some nerve” half joking, half not. If you never hear from me again, she did it.
Epic Hot wheel Track
I grew up with Hot Wheels. My son did as well. We had some pretty awesome tracks when he was younger. However, this one is so cool. My son doesn’t even play with Hot Wheels anymore and said this track would be a pretty cool gift. So, if you find yourself constantly screaming profanity in the middle of night by stepping on Hot Wheel landmines, this is the probably the go to for you.
Photographer In Training
Both my girls are constantly taking my phone to take pictures. Although I do still think they are still to young to be rolling around with their own iphones, I like that they are getting into photography! This kids camera is far from the toys we grew up with. 10 years ago this was top of line tech. Full HD video. Time lapse. Pair this with a photo album scrapbook and you’ve got a perfect combo.
That TuTu Is Lit
Any little girl who loves playing dress up is going to love this LED tutu. I love this tutu. But my daughters wont let me wear it. They think I’ll ruin it. Something to do with how big I am. How rude.
There Is Only Uno Buzz
The greatest game ever! Now Uno is making theme decks like this Buzz Lightyear one. I love it. My kids love it. The best part is that each themed deck now has its own custom rules and specialty cards. Which means each deck is a slightly different game. Now the next step is figuring out how to get it into casinos.
This Is The Mandalorian Way
My son and I got hooked on the Mandalorian when it first came out. Then in season 2 when they used CGI to bring back a young Luke Skywalker! We lost our minds. Jumping on the couch causing my wife to give us both that “are you kidding me” look.
Neither of us can wait for season 3 to come out in February next year. Which makes this the perfect time to load up on gifts like this Mandalorian Mask. Not going to lie. My son and I are probably going to where this when we watch season 3.
It’s A Me, Mario
Alright in close second to Uno is Monopoly. Just like Uno, Monopoly makes themed board games. And with the new Chris Pratt/Jack Black Mario movie trailer making every little kid in the theatre scream, I’m pretty sure this Mario Monopoly Board is a solid pick this year!
Battle Of The Castles
Just like the Princess Castle, Lego made a Ninja Temple Set. Made into a popular kids show this set will definitely get some excitement out of them. My son picked this to have a battle of the castles with his sisters. I’m totally game.
I’m On Patrol
It seems every kid under 5 has an obsession with Paw Patrol! I thought it was just mine. But all our friends kids under 5 love them too. This Paw Patrol Figurine Set will get some squeals. They also fit into the, of course, sold separately models of the vehicles they ride in the show.
Obnoxious Plushy
This simple, reversible, and ridiculous little plushy thing has 85,000 plus 5 star reviews on Amazon. I have no idea why. Why have so many people bought this silly little thing. On top of that, why are so many people compelled to review it? I don’t know. But, if your kid is all into to plush toys this seems to be the breakout winner.
Roblox Is Taking Over The World
We have Facebook and Instagram. The teenagers have TikTok. The kids have Roblox. Roblox is taking over everything, and it’s a game version of social media for them. They can text, call, or video call while they play infinite simple games together on the platform. Whether we like the game or not, it’s the hot thing right now.
Nerf has decided, as they do, to capitalize on it and made Roblox Nerf Guns. Just like Roblox, a lot of people are not fans. But no one can argue that it gets the little gamers active. I play Nerf battles with my son and his friends all the time because it’s a sneaky way to get them off the couch. Try it!
Creepy Crawly
The snake robot was my son’s top pick. As he spotted it I could see his little trickster mind at work plotting. His favorite past time is pranking anyone in the house not on their toes. Everyone walks around like we’re highly trained special forces. It will undoubtedly bite me in the rear (pun intended). But, everyone will get a good laugh. Worth it.
Studious Spiderfan
For any young Spider fan this Spiderman desk is the perfect little homework and art desk. My son was sad when I broke it to him he was too big to fit in it. But if you’re looking for a Spiderman fan under 50 pounds? This will get you to “you’re the greatest” for sure.
Tiki Barbie
Where else do you think the Barbie plane from number 3 was going to fly to? Of course they are going to a tiki paradise! The Tiki Barbie Set is a perfect compliment to the plane set as well as kinetic sand. My kids love kinetic sand. This set comes with a small tub, but you know they will want to have to entire play area to be a beach for the barbies. Best to play with this one outside.
