Gregory Itzin, best known for his role in 24 and NCIS, has sadly died at the age of seventy-four.
Jon Cassar, the executive producer of 24, announced the news of Itzin’s passing on Friday morning, along with a heartfelt note.
“My friend Greg Itzin passed away today. He was one of the most talented actors I had the honor to work with, but more than that he was an all around great guy,” he wrote.
“He’ll be missed by his 24 family who had nothing but love & respect for him.
“You made your mark, now Rest In Peace friend,” the tweet concluded.
He also attached of photograph of himself with Itzin.
Itzin had various roles over the years and even won two Emmy nominations after his debut as Charles Logan in 24.
He was honored as a part of “season five’s SAG Award-nominated ensemble” in the action-thriller series.
The actor has also starred in NCIS, The Mentalist, Judging Amy, and Star Trek: Enterprise where he played Admiral Black.

The late actor also played the role of Theodore Hannigan in the Phoebe wedding episodes of Friends.
Itzin is survived by his wife Judie and their 2 children.
His cause of death has not been revealed.
