It has just been reported that in the mission to rescue Oklahoma's missing children, over 200 people have been arrested, and 5 more children have been found.

Here's what we know so far...

It's a victorious day for Oklahoma City.

For months now, the city has been embroiled in an ongoing war against gangs and violent crime.

And, as a devastating result...

A high number of the city's children have been reported as missing.

Operation Triple Beam, a collaboration between the U.S. Marshals and more than a dozen other agencies including the Oklahoma City Police Department, commenced on July 6th...

And had the primary aim of reducing violent crime in and around the city.

However, it went on to do so much more than that.

Across the next two months, 262 people were arrested, including 141 confirmed gang members.

One of the most prolific arrests was that of the murder suspect and Surenos gang member, Pablo Robledo.

Robledo has been in prison awaiting trial for first-degree murder after a shooting in March 2019.

However, in July, he escaped from Oklahoma County Jail when he scaled down twelve floors of the jailhouse using a rope made of bedsheets and paper.

The U.S. Marshals captured him several days later as part of their operation.

"We used all kinds of techniques and investigative techniques to try and locate him, and once again we were successful in getting him back into custody," Johnny Kuhlman, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Oklahoma, told KFOR.

During the sixty-day operation, investigators also seized seventy-two firearms, 9 kilograms of drugs...

And nearly $17,000 in cash.

Johnny Kuhlman said on the operation's success:

“Operation Triple Beam OKC was a targeted enforcement initiative by the Marshals and their partners to address violent crime in and around Oklahoma City."

He continued:

“Our primary goal with operations like OTB is to make communities safer. When we arrest these violent fugitives, we are also removing guns and narcotics from our streets. We believe these efforts have an immediate, positive impact on the communities we serve."

But, perhaps the most remarkable of all...

5 missing children were located and recovered as part of the operation, the U.S. Marshals said.

Throughout the operation, they managed to locate several endangered children in Georgia, too.

Around thirty-nine of them, to be precise.

Since the news broke, people have been sending their well-wishes and words of congratulations.

Now, these children were rescued from utterly horrifying conditions.

“These are kids that have been abused, neglected. Some involved in human trafficking. Sometimes the situations they—they go to, believe it or not, may be better than the situations they left from," U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said of the mission, known as “Operation Safety Net."

It gets worse.

“We’ve had some cases where the mother and or father, or both, may have been prostituting their own child," Marshall Elliott added.

Some of the children were suspected to have been kidnapped from their daycares...

By their own parents.

Chasady and Charles Hall, both Dungee Crip gang members, were arrested in Midwest City as a part of the operation...

And now stand accused of kidnapping their children from a daycare in Oklahoma City.

The identities of the children involved remain undisclosed.

A huge well done to all those involved in the heroic operation.
