If you could have any superpower, what would you choose? Flight? Invisibility? Supersonic speed? The ability to insert a thumb drive into a USB slot the correct way the first time? Well, I hate to break it to you, but those superpowers are all completely fictional (especially that last one). But don't be discouraged! You can still get superpowers. Kind of.

There are a whole bunch of products you can buy on Amazon that will not only make your life better, but also basically bestow you with powers you didn't realize you were capable of. Powers like not losing socks to the dryer, and completely avoiding papercuts. These superpowers may not get you on the Avengers party guest list or a cape (although you can totally buy one of those, too), but they will improve your life, which is kind of what superheroes do, isn't it?

We hope you find these handy products as awesome as we do. Just an FYI: We participate in affiliate programs and may get a share of the revenue from your purchase.

The Bug Bite Thing Gives You the Power to Stop Bug Bits from Itching!

The mosquitos are no match for you and your Bug Bite Thing (yes, it's really called that). Simply place the end of the Bug Bite Thing over a bug bite and gently lift up on the plunger to suck the itchy stuff up. It works on bites from mosquitos, bees, wasps, chiggers, no-see-ums — pretty much all the biting, stinging, flying fiends that are the bane of your existence. Your kryptonite, if you will.

These Goggles Prevent Onion Tears!

via: Amazon

It takes a truly strong individual to resist crying while chopping an onion. Barring that, it takes some goggles like these. They create a barricade between that awful onion-y air and your delicate eyeballs. Sure, they may look a little silly, but wouldn't you rather look silly and not have your eyes be in pain?

With This Automatic Pot Stirrer, You Can Stir a Pot from Across the Room!

via: Amazon

It's basically like having telekinetic powers. Plus, admit it — if you did have telekinetic powers, you'd probably use them for household tasks like stirring a pot all the time, right? This robo stirrer has a timer and can be set to stir at several different speeds depending on what you're cooking up. Leave your hands free to fight the bad guys (and/or chop some carrots).

These Sock Monsters Solves the Lost Sock Issue

via: Amazon

Sure — in the comic books and movies, superheroes are dealing with evildoers who want to take over the world. Most of us are dealing with slightly smaller — yet still totally legit — issues like losing socks to the dryer and spending way too much time matching the un-lost socks up. These squishy silicone Sock Monsters keep all your socks paired together throughout the entire laundering process! It's so genius that you'd almost think it was invented by a supervillain (it wasn't, though).

You're Practically Invincible* While Wearing These Cut-Resistant Gloves!

via: Amazon

*OK, maybe not invincible, but your hands are much safer around sharp knives! These gloves are made from highly cut-resistant material that's four times stronger than leather. But, even though they're tough, they still allow you to move freely. Start prepping veggies with all the confidence of someone who actually has superpowers. They're also great for people who enjoy woodworking! They're 100 percent food-safe and machine washable.

These Leaf Scoops Are Basically Hulk Hands

via: Amazon

Think about how easy yard work must be for someone like The Incredible Hulk! Don't you wish you had the ability to grab an entire pile of leaves using your own two hands? Well, you can! Assuming your own two hands are wearing these Leaf Scoops, anyway. They make short work of leaf piles and cut out the whole "rake onto a tarp then drag the tarp to the curb" step.

And These Garden Genie Gloves Let You Pretend to Be Wolverine

It's a shame they never explored a gardening side plot in the X-Men movies. Wolverine would have been a natural! At least you can live the Wolverine dream with these gloves. They have strong claws on them that allow you to dig, rake, and weed with so much more power than your normal human hands are capable of. They're also totally waterproof, which I'm pretty sure gives you a leg up on the actual Wolverine.

These Flashlight Gloves Give You the Power of Light

via: Amazon

Uh, hello? The power to control light?! Yes, please. These fingerless gloves let you shine light wherever you choose — they're especially handy if you happen to be working on your car, you're out camping, or you want to choreograph a dance that involves pointing light all over the place (I don't know your life). They're comfortable, breathable, and super lightweight, too.

The Mighty Handle Provides the Greatest Superpower of All:

via: Amazon

The power to carry all of your groceries inside in a single trip! All you have to do is hang all your bags onto the hooks and lift up on the handle. Each handle (this listing is for a set of two) can support up to 50 pounds! You can also use them to secure your bags in the trunk of your car in order to keep them from spilling.

These Wool Dryer Balls Will Save You Money

via: Amazon

And if you think about it, that's kind of the ultimate superpower, ya know? They also save you time, which is kind of like having the power to time travel. The idea is that you put these in your dryer rather than using dryer sheets. Not only does that save you dryer sheet money; they also make it so that your clothes dry faster — up to 25 percent faster, which saves you money on your electricity bill. And they look very cuddly. That's not a superpower per se, but it is nice.

These Baggy Racks Are Kind of Like a Third Hand in the Kitchen

via: Amazon

It can be a pain trying to store leftovers in a zippered plastic bag. It usually requires asking someone to hold the bag open for you while you pour in the food. If you don't have a trusty leftover sidekick (or they're busy doing other sidekick things), simply insert your baggies into the clips and fill 'em up! This particular listing is for a set of two racks, which is actually kind of like having two sidekicks if you do the math.

The Snap 'N Strain Strainer Is Another Great Gadget to Have in the Kitchen

via: Amazon

Rather than having to try and hold a colander and pour a pot of boiling water at the same time (bad idea) or just dumping blindly into a colander standing in the sink (also a bad idea), this colander snaps directly onto your pot — it fits most standard size pots and pans. It also folds flat whenever you're not using it and won't take up all your precious, limited cupboard space.

This Laundry Folder Turns Folding Laundry into a Superpower

Your laundry will be folded so quickly that people will probably start to wonder whether you're actually The Flash in disguise. Just place your laundered item (towels, shirts, pants, cape, etc.) onto the Box Legend and flip the two sides in and the bottom up. In a matter of seconds, you'll have a perfectly folded — and perfectly stackable — clothing item. It might even actually make you look forward to doing laundry. That would be a real superpower.

This Double Clost Rod Magically Creates More Space in Your Closet!

via: Amazon

(Look, not all superpowers are super flashy, OK?) If you look closely at the clothes in your closet, you'll probably notice that most of them only take up half the vertical space in there — there's a whole other bottom half of your closet that you're probably not using to its full potential! Simply hang this rod so it hangs below your already-installed rod and voila! Double the hanging space.

The Cableyoyo Keeps Your Cables from Getting Tangled

via: Amazon

You may be thinking this little gadget doesn't actually bestow a superpower, but I bet there are a few supervillains out there who were led to the dark side by having to spend too long untangling their headphone cables. With the Cableyoyo, all you have to do is wind up your cables and it holds them for you (and prevents them from tying themselves into a Gordian knot). It's a simple product that offers a simple solution to a common problem. Ta da!

Wine Away Totally Eliminates Red Wine Stains!

via: Amazon

I mean, anyone who has ever lost a rug to red wine will agree that this is most definitely a superpower. This stuff works on both fresh stains and stains that have already dried! In addition to eliminating red wine stains, it can also be used on coffee, blood, ink, and fruit punch! Just spray it on, let it sit, and gently blot.

The Aerolatte Makes You a Barista by Day

via: Amazon

(Or night, depending on when you drink your coffee.) You might be spending upward of $5/day for a fancy coffee shop drink because you think baristas have some sort of magical milk-foaming superpowers. You're not totally wrong, but you can have those powers for yourself for about 15 bucks if you get yourself one of these frothers. It can froth milk to bubbly perfection in about 20 seconds!

This Cold Brew Coffee Maker Just Looks Like Something Tony Stark Would Own, Right?

via: Amazon

It may not give you superpowers, exactly, but plenty of people swear by the power of caffeine, and cold brew coffee is a great way to get yourself a dose of that sweet nectar. This coffee maker lets you make, serve, and store your beverage all in one convenient product. It only takes between 1 and 3 hours to make yourself some cold brew (which is a huge step up from other brewing methods that take a full 24 hours!). Plus it just looks really cool.

These Bottle Bright Tablets Give You the Power to REALLY Clean Your Bottles

via: Amazon

Hey, you're not Mr. Fantastic — you can't just elasticize your arms to reach every nook and cranny of your water bottles in order to clean them out! Luckily, you don't have to. (Which is good because, again, you can't.) Simply fill your water bottle with water and drop one of these fizzing tablets in. Let it sit for 30–45 minutes, and your bottle will be sparkling!

My Critter Catcher Will Keep Spiders (Radioactive and Otherwise) away from Your House

via: Amazon

Most people would prefer their home to be a spider-free zone, but they don't necessarily want to squash the little guys. The My Critter Catcher lets you rescue your spider friends from being squashed without having to get too close (after all, you don't really want to be bitten by a spider, right?). With the simple touch of a button, the bristles open up to grab the creepy crawly so that you can bring it outside where it belongs.

Wash Both Sides of Your Windows at Once with This Magnetic Window Cleaner

via: Amazon

Superheroes that can fly have no trouble scrubbing the outside of their upper floor windows. You, on the other hand... Luckily, with some help from magnets, you can reach the outside of your window, too! It also includes a safety strap you hook onto your wrist so you don't end up dropping the scrubber. They've really thought of everything.

This Slim Storage Cart Gives You the Power to Maximize Space!

via: Amazon

(That can certainly feel like a superpower if you're living in a small apartment or house!) I have one of these carts in my laundry room and I absolutely love it. The drawers are wide enough to accommodate a bottle of laundry detergent. You could also use it in the gap between your toilet and sink in the bathroom, or between your fridge and the wall in the kitchen. In fact, you could get several and use them all over your home!

This Air Purifying Bag Eliminates Stink

via: Amazon

It's filled with activated bamboo charcoal which absorbs smelly odors and leaves the air smelling fresh and clean — this feels particularly like a superpower to anyone who lives with teenagers. Or dogs. Or both. Hang it in your closet, toss one in your car, or carry one around in your gym bag! Any place that's less than fresh.

Foil Envelopes' Attempts at Paper Cuts with This Letter Opener

via: Amazon

You'd think that after decades of opening mail, you would have figured out a way to do so without getting a paper cut. And yet... Luckily, the Slice letter opener features an ultra sharp ceramic blade that easily cuts through paper and keeps your fingers totally safe. It also has a built-in magnet so you can store it right on your fridge and always know exactly where it is.

This Box Cutter Is Also Super Handy

via: Amazon

The only thing worse than a paper cut is a cardboard paper cut. (If you've never had one, just trust me on this one. They're absolutely brutal.) Rather than letting your hands go through that pain, protect yourself with a gadget that even Lucius Fox would find impressive. It's cleverly designed to that the super sharp ceramic blade is always at the correct angle for the most efficient cutting.

Pretend You Have Super Strength with This Can Crusher

via: Amazon

As we all know, recycling is the real superpower — and with this can crusher, you can recycle more things at once! Put any soda can into the crusher and pull down on the handle in order to crush it until it's only about 1 inch thick. You can fit so many more cans in your recycling bin if they're that small! Warning: May cause delusions of super strength.

These Furniture Sliders Will Also Make You Feel Super Strong

via: Amazon

Moving furniture around is just a part of life — but it's usually a pretty unpleasant part because the furniture is so dang heavy. These sliders can be placed underneath your furniture in order to make them super easy to slide around on just about any surface — wood floors, carpet, concrete — you name it. It's probably the closest you'll ever get to being Superman, so that's something.

With a Storm Glass, You Can Predict the Weather

via: Amazon

Are we 100 percent sure Storm from X-Men wasn't just referencing one of these things and then pretending to conjure a storm? I don't think we'll ever know the truth. Anyway, the fluid inside these storm glasses changes depending on the weather outside. If it's snowing outside, you'll see "snowflakes." If the skies are cloudy, the fluid in your storm glass will be, too. Yeah, pretty cool. (You could also just watch the weather channel, but where is the fun in that?)

This Waterproof Pouch Will Protect Your Phone

via: Amazon

Not having to worry about your phone near bodies of water is probably the most modern superpower out there. Some people just have waterproof phones... But if you don't, then you might want to consider getting these pouches (this listing is for four total). Slip your phone inside when it's rainy or you're headed to the beach or pool, then rest assured that your technology is totally safe. You can even still use your phone while it's inside the pouch!

This Phone Wallet Will Cut Down on the Stuff You Have to Carry

via: Amazon

Hey, superheroes travel light! This slim wallet adheres directly the back of your smartphone and can hold up to eight credit cards as well as cash. When you're in a hurry (as superheroes so often are), all you have to do is grab your phone and you'll also have all the essentials. There's also something super freeing about not having to haul a purse around everywhere! Wonder Woman never used a purse.

This Cell Phone Ring Light Gives You the Power to Take Great Selfies

via: Amazon

It's another modern superpower. Don't think about it too much. This ring light clips directly to your phone and provides great lighting for selfies (or videos!). If you're looking to take your selfie game to the next level (and who isn't?), then this is the gadget for you. It provides three different levels of brightness and is also rechargeable!

The Zap It! Will Bring an End to Your Bug Enemies

via: Amazon

I know we talked about saving spiders earlier, but we can all agree that some creepy crawly critters cannot be allowed to live. That's where the Zap It! comes in. Turn it on, press the button, and swat the fly. Then laugh maniacally as you hear your buzzing enemy sizzle. Wait, is this how supervillains get their start? Mayyyybe we should rethink this one. (But seriously, it really is super satisfying to use.)

These Ring-Angled Scissors Are Pretty Darn Genius

via: Amazon

Guys, I may actually have gained the power to see the future. I was just wrapping presents last night and I had the idea for right-angled scissors like these because they'd make it so much easier to cut wrapping paper. And today? I found these! Coincidence? Probably! But that doesn't make them any less brilliant. Save your wrist and use these things to cut wrapping paper, fabric, pizza (!!!), or whatever else needs snipping.

These Food Prep Tongs Look Ridiculous, But Bear with Me for a Sec

via: Amazon

If you've ever made something like eggplant parmesan or breaded fried chicken, then you know The Clump. That's what happens when you repeatedly dip your fingers in egg and then breading and end up with clumps of soggy breadcrumbs at the ends of your fingertips. It's basically the worst thing ever (akin to a supervillain's plot to destroy the galaxy). But these little tongs put an end to that. They're also great for eating Cheetos and keeping your hands clean, or dipping shrimp into cocktail sauce! Just think of the things you can accomplish with a pair of these little buggers.

The Squatty Potty Will Make You a Super Pooper

via: Amazon

Is it a superpower you're gonna brag about at your next cocktail party? Probably not (although maybe it is! I don't know what your parties are like). As it turns out, human bodies were actually meant to squat in order to poop. But modern toilets don't allow for the squat. A simple stool like the Squatty Potty props your feet up so everything moves along faster and more efficiently. If that's not a superpower, I don't know what is.
