After being separated for 7 weeks due to the ongoing medical pandemic, a 4-year-old cancer patient cried with joy after finally being reunited with her dad - And the footage is truly heartwarming.

Because of their compromised immune systems, they are more prone to contracting the potentially deadly virus.And, heartbreakingly for some, they are separated from their family members as a result.

While the rest of us self-isolate with friends and family, there are many cancer patients out there who have been forced to quarantine away from family members as to not compromise their health.And 4-year-old Mila Sneddon has been one of them.

So, in an effort to keep his daughter safe, Scott temporarily moved out of his family's home and only interacted with Mila through a window or door, ITV News reported.It's been a tremendously difficult time for the family.

Not only was Mila's mom, Lynda left to care for their sick daughter alone, she also lost her own grandmother as a result of the horrendous virus.But Scott's daily visits to the house would lift their spirits...

And this week, he had some amazing news.Weeks into their separation, Scott learned that he was being furloughed from his job.

This meant that, after quarantining alone for 2 weeks, he would be able to eventually return to the family home. But he decided to keep this as a secret from little Mila in order to give her the best surprise.Scott immediately retreated into isolation and waited until professionals said he was cleared to return home...

And, on Wednesday, he arrived back to the family home to surprise his unsuspecting daughter.Instead of standing at the window...

Scott walked into the kitchen, as Mila watched on in shock. "Hi, can I get a real hug?"He walked over to hug his daughter for the first time...

Whose little face instantly lit up.Mila giggled uncontrollably as Scott picked her up...

And, after exchanging a few "I love you"s, the pair stood silently and motionless as they embraced.And, heartbreakingly, Mila burst into tears.

Visibly overcome with emotion, the little girl cried quietly as her dad continued to cuddle her. Scott asked, "How're you?" to which she replied quietly, "good", while wiping the tears from her face.It was a truly beautiful moment.
