It’s almost like everything he’s in is destined to be a hit!

Well, that hasn’t always been the case…

Clooney has made no secret of his dislike of 1997’s Batman & Robin.

Unlike the 1966 TV show which followed the iconic pair, the final installment of Warner Brothers’ Batman series was not much of a success.

But this hasn’t stopped him from making remarks about Ben Affleck’s version of the DC character.

Scroll on to see just what Clooney said!

In a recent video posted by The Hollywood Reporter, Clooney can be seen joking about how his Batman was better than Argo alumni Ben Affleck’s.

He said: “When you think of me, you think he’s just the best Batman.”

To which Don Cheadle, who was in the audience, responded that Clooney was the “best available.”

But what Clooney said in response is the real cherry on top of this whole story!

Clooney hit back, saying: “Ben Affleck, really? He’s got nothing on me!”

For many superhero fans, Clooney’s claim is total hearsay…

Affleck has starred in 4 movies as Bruce Wayne, including in Justice League.

The fifty-year-old actor even has 2 more movies where he plays Batman in the works – Aquaman 2 and The Flash.

This is a stark contrast to Clooney’s rather dire Batman legacy…

Clooney’s only movie as Batman was widely panned by critics, and is even considered by some to be one of the worst films ever made!

However, the crowd was certainly on Clooney’s side.

Whether you prefer Clooney, Affleck, or another actor completely in the role of Batman, we can all agree that Clooney definitely knows how to work a room!

But putting his career to one side, Clooney hasn’t really opened up about becoming a father…

Until now.

During a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, Clooney told host Gayle King that his relationship with his wife Amal Clooney is “easy.”

He also revealed: “We’ve never had an argument.”

The couple who tied the knot back in 2014 welcomed fraternal twins, Alexander and Ella, into the world in 2017…

Admitted that marriage and having kids took away his selfishness and it really was a wonderful thing.

But Clooney was then quick to share one hilarious mistake he has made as a dad…

“We’ve made a terrible mistake. We taught them Italian. But we don’t speak Italian. So we’ve armed them with a language that they can harm us with. And we don’t really know what they’re saying,” he confessed.

“I’m from Kentucky. You know, English is my second language.” He revealed that their kids also speak French, while Amal added: “Our son is now a big prankster and he’s basically — you’ve [George] taught him all of these lessons and he’s now pranking his dad back.”

Clooney has spoken about some of the differences he and his wife face due to their age gap of seventeen years.

“We agree on most things,” Clooney recently told E! News

“When you’re sixty-one, which apparently I am, as you get older, you’re kind of looking at things a little differently,” he said.

Because of his age, Clooney said he doesn’t focus on trivial things like he would’ve if he were younger.

He gave an example, and said, “Amal wants to paint the wall yellow.

“And if I was younger, I feel like that’s a stupid color. And now you just go, ‘I don’t care. Who cares if a wall’s yellow?’”

But this week, Clooney has hit headlines thanks to a special act of his…

Giving out money!

He confirmed to GQ that he’d given his fourteen closest friends a tremendous sum of cash.

“I was a single guy. All of us were aging. I was 52 or something. And most of my friends are older than me,” he explained.

“And I thought, what I do have are these guys who’ve all, over a period of 35 years, helped me in one way or another.

  via Shutterstock

“They helped me when I needed help over the years. And I’ve helped them over the years. We’re all good friends,” Clooney continued.

“And I thought, you know, without them I don’t have any of this. And we’re all really close, and I just thought basically if I get hit by a bus, they’re all in the will. So why the f**k am I waiting to get hit by a bus?

“And I said, ‘How do you repay people like that?’ And I said, ‘Oh, well: How about a million bucks?’” he added.

So Clooney filled fourteen suitcases with cash, then drove around to drop them off at all of his friends’ homes.
