Kim was the victim of an armed robbery back in 2016.
She was held at gunpoint while the robbers took her most prized possessions.
Around $10 million worth of jewelry was stolen during the incident.
This included her $4 million engagement ring.
She was staying at the Hôtel de Pourtalès for Paris Fashion Week when the masked men broke in.
She recalled that she was tied up and duct-tape her eyes and mouth shut.
Kim revealed that during the heist, she feared that she was going to be s*xually assaulted and murdered.
During an interview in 2020 with David Letterman, she recalled the evening to be “seven or eight minutes of torture.”
“They brought up the concierge from downstairs, handcuffed, with a gun up to him. they were yelling at me in French, and I just sat up,” she said.
She added: “He grabbed me, and pulled me towards him. But I wasn’t wearing anything underneath my bathrobe. So I was like, ‘OK, this is the time; I’m going to get r*ped. Just deal, like, it’s gonna happen.’ You know, like just prepare yourself.
“But then he tied me up, with handcuffs and then zip ties, and duct tape. And then duct-taped my mouth, and then my eyes,” she said. “Before he duct-taped my eyes — because that was the last thing — I saw he found my whole jewelry box and held it up,” Kim said.
Before the suspect duct taped her mouth, Kim pleaded to the concierge to tell them to spare her life for the sake of her family.
“Just tell them I have children, like I have babies, I have a husband, I have a family… I have to get home,” she said.
She was left scarred for life.
Yunis Abbas, now sixty-seven, was one of the twelve men charged with the crime.
He spent twenty-two months in prison before he was granted early release on health grounds.
In a recent interview with Vice News, Abbas revealed the planning behind the heist.
He said: “I went on the internet and I saw her jewelry. I saw her ring. I saw that she showed it everywhere.
“We knew this information through social media. We knew that she was coming for Fashion Week, so we went there to do some reconnaissance so we were sure,” Abbas said.
The suspect had revisited the hotel as he was explaining how the traumatic night unfolded.
“We got in through the little door that was open on the inside, as soon as we got in we took control of the concierge.
“We overpowered him, we tied him up. Then we looked for the keys to the bedroom she stayed in,” he said.
“I stayed downstairs. But two of my colleagues went upstairs with the concierge to go to Ms. Kardashian’s room, then they picked up the jewelry and went downstairs,” Abbas added.
He later revealed that Kim’s assistant made a huge mistake by dialing 911, the US emergency number when the crime took place in France. This meant the French authorities could not be notified immediately of the crime.
However, it did scare the intruders, and so they took off.
The suspect was eventually caught due to the DNA he left behind at the crime scene when he overpowered the guard.
The suspect already had a criminal record prior to the incident.
