Including store surveillance videos that revealed she was struggling with her mental health.

Lynn then regained conservatorship of the actress in October 2014 and has been her conservator ever since.

She studied at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in California, while also undergoing treatment for her mental health.

Bynes’ conservatorship has been on-going almost 9 years now.

And late last year, it was reportedly further extended.

The former child star underwent a status hearing in her current case with the judge scheduling the next conservatorship hearing for 2023.

The conservatorship will need to file its next update by January 2023, according to legal documents.

However, Bynes’s lawyer David Esquibias said in a statement that her conservatorship being extended to 2023 was false.

“Her conservatorship is not extended through March 2023. It is open day-to-day,” he said. “A status report regarding her health and welfare was recently filed and approved by the court. By law, the next status report is due in 2 years. Her conservatorship will terminate when it is no longer convenient for Amanda.”

But, Bynes filed court documents to end her conservatorship…

News that has been praised by people…

Page Six reports that Bynes filed court documents to end her conservatorship on Wednesday, February 23.

Submitted at the Ventura County Superior Court in California, the documents request to terminate both the conservatorship of her person and estate.

The outlet reports that Bynes also filed a capacity declaration.

This is because California requires all conservatorship cases to have updated records about a conservatee’s mental state.

Speaking with E! News, Lynn’s attorney Tamar Arminak said Lynn is “so incredibly proud” of Bynes’ progress.

“Lynn is so incredibly proud of the progress Amanda has made over the last few years and is so excited about the next chapter in Amanda’s life.”

“Based on the petition, and Amanda’s amazing progress, she completely supports Amanda’s request to terminate the conservatorship.”

Many people took to social media to celebrate the termination.

Since Bynes decided that she wanted to end the conservatorship, she has been living in an apartment community, which has been helping her transition back into an “autonomous” lifestyle.

According to E! News, it “offers an independent living environment for women poised to transition into an autonomous lifestyle.”

A case manager also confirmed that she has had no positive tests for illicit substances, too, as per the media outlet.

A source close to the star happily said: “Once the conservatorship is terminated, she’ll be able to get married, live wherever she likes, and travel freely wherever she wants to go, among other things,” as per E! News.

“Nobody is really sure right now what’s next for her, but whatever it is, Amanda’s mom knows that based on the reports they’ve gotten, Amanda is determined, successful, and able to manage her day-to-day life and well-being,” they said.

And now, Bynes has announced a surprise change in career following her newfound freedom.
