My four-legged friends are my whole heart. I would do anything to make them as happy as possible. And I would also do anything to make my life as easy as possible. Unfortunately, having animals in your home and having an easy life don’t always go hand-in-hand. I’ve found that there are a few things I’ve got to have around my house to keep me sane and to ensure I get to spend as much time as possible with my furry babies.
This is a list of some of my favorite products to keep around the house. This hair remover gives me extra time to play with my pups instead of cleaning up the absolute hamsters of fur they leave around the house. My pups, and cats, love this car cover because they can ride around with us whenever they want (as long as we don’t say the “v” word, that is). And these litter catching mats are an absolute life-saver!
Make Quick Work of Ever-Present Hair
If felting is your thing, I’m sure pet hair is awesome to you, but for the rest of us, it’s a nuisance that takes forever to clean, which is why this roller is my absolute favorite gadget — it gets the hair up quickly so you can get back to infinite pet cuddles.
Foil Your Cat’s Evil Plans
We all know cats could take over the world if they wanted to, right? That’s just a fact. Fortunately for us, the only thing they’re actually interested in is ruining our furniture (and eating our plants). These furniture guards keep those catastrophic cat claws out of your furniture so you don’t have to replace it with your air filters; seasonally.
Accidents Happen, But You Don’t Have to Let Them Linger
This is not a Cranberries song. You do not have to let odor linger. Pets can’t help that they have accidents. Sometimes they can and they’re punishing us because we’ve left them, but for the most part; it’s an accident! My cats and dogs do not get along like this, but maybe if I bought them this bed they would. Who can say? I’ve tried a plethora of pet beds in the past, but this is the only one I’ve found that looks like it would be perfect for cats and dogs alike.

My cats don’t like to be watched while they go, I’ve learned this. But while we had this stainless steel box I loved it, because it was a breeze to clean! Sadly, we had to give this one away so my prima donna cats could go without eyes on them. I mourn its loss.

I’m not sure what qualifies a dog as being “urban,” but I imagine it’s determined by how much time they spend in cities. One of my dogs is a gorgeous golden retriever mix with long, curly hair. Lovely! Until he gets a little wet. And then all the mats make themselves known. This comb is my favorite tool to use when I give him his weekly, anti-mat brush down. It pulls them right out without causing him any pain!

I think this is really more of a rake, honestly, but it has bristles like a broom. And that’s a good thing! Those bristles really help to catch the hair and keep it all moving in one direction. It’s great for a post-grooming clean of the house.

Dogs are the head of our household. It’s their home and we’re just living in it. We feed them, clean up after them, and compliment them every 5 seconds. Still, the worst is the shedding. It’s not easy to keep water and food bowls still. Your pets tend to chase around those last bites and send the bowls sliding across the floor, making messes as they go.
