Two Kids Asked Pizza Hut to Write a Joke on Their Delivery Box, but What They Received Was Very Inappropriate

For a food that is oh-so-right, there are a lot of ways that pizza can go terribly wrong. And it recently went very wrong for a Pizza Hut employee who was asked to include a joke on a delivery box. The joke she went with was so dirty that it got her fired. It was also probably a little too enlightening for the kids who ordered it (and their mom, who was not very happy).

What’s that old jingle?

Pizza in the morning/Pizza in the evening/Pizza at supper time/When pizza comes with dirty jokes/It’s really bad and it makes everyone uncomfortable!

Pretty sure that’s how it goes.

When you ruin a pizza, you don’t just ruin a pizza — you ruin an entire mood; an entire evening of deliciousness. Pizzas, especially homemade ones, are a lot of work, and it’s depressing when all that effort go to waste.

But it doesn’t always work out that way. We’ve all gotten a disappointingly smushed pizza. It tastes the same only with more sadness.

There’s no coming back from that. Once the cheese is on the box, it’s not on your pizza. And — at least in the case of this sad specimen — that’s a whole two or three slices that are ruined. It’s not like you won’t eat them anyway, but you’ll just be upset about it.

Yes, we’re all looking through the same cheesy jail cell of ruined pizza dreams. It is truly a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions.

For instance, putting strawberries on a slice is an affront to God, humanity, and all living creatures. In comparison, you’d think a little joke on pizza box wouldn’t hurt a fly. But a Pizza Hut employee recently got fired for including her joke on a delivery box. Once you see the joke, you might understand why…

When they placed the order, they requested that the employees write a joke on the box, which they’ve done before according to a report from UPI. Let’s just say this joke (not the pizza) was a little too saucy for the kids’ mom.

“What do a pizza delivery driver and a gynecologist have in common?” Are you ready for the answer? Are you? OK.

The answer is… “They both have to smell it but neither of them gets to eat it.” …Wait for it…wait for it…yeahhhhh. There it is.

That was quite a dirty joke to include on a pizza delivery box, and their mom was understandably not too happy about it. “I was really shocked and floored that Pizza Hut would send that type of joke out,” she told WJLA-TV. “It’s an inappropriate joke. There’s a time and place for everything. My pizza box is not one of them. It’s a lesson learned.”

The employee even called the family to apologize, and even though the family’s mom said she hoped the employee wouldn’t get fired, she was. The mom posted a picture of the pizza box on social media and expressed her disgust. But you’ll never guess what happened next…

The mom was cyberbullied. That’s why she’s remained anonymous. People were upset that she got someone fired just days before Christmas — even though that person definitely wrote an inappropriate joke on her pizza box.

Many, like Crystal Jewell Killeen, actually took time out of their day to go to the Facebook page of the specific Pizza Hut location and express their dismay that the employee was fired for the joke.

Obviously, the mom wasn’t upset that she now had to explain that wildly inappropriate joke to her young children. She was just jealous that the joke was good! (P.S. It really seems like the Killeen family has strong feelings about this whole situation.)

Sure the kids may have been pushing it when they asked for a joke. But who would think that that joke was an appropriate one to tell to anyone you don’t know? Like, someone you aren’t super close to? The “I ordered Papa John’s tonight instead” move is cold, though. Ice cold.

We hope Pizza Girl is OK. We hope the conversation that mom had to have with her kids wasn’t too awkward, and we hope that pizza was delicious. Because, in the end, it’s always about the pizza.
