A$AP Rocky has taken the opportunity to call out Chris Brown in his new song.
In the song, the rapper calls Brown out for beating Rihanna.
Now, as we all know, Brown and RiRi dated from 2007 up until 2009, when they had a breakup that caught the attention of the entire world.
Their split was a result of Brown, rapper, and actor, physically assaulting Rihanna while the couple was on their way home from a pre-grammy party.
According to TMZ, this assault resulted in Rihanna’s split lip and bruising, and it also resulted in Brown being arrested as well as being charged with felony battery, to which he served 5 years probation and community service.
But, surprisingly, the assault didn’t mean it was over for the couple…
Because in 2012, they reunited.
And split up again in 2013… For good.
Now, Brown has been rumored, as per Capital Xtra, to be dating Diamond Brown, and Rihanna is with none other than A$AP Rocky.
In fact, she also expecting her first baby with the rapper, too.
And in his new song, he took the opportunity to mention Brown, who, although RiRi might’ve forgiven for the abuse, Rocky clearly hasn’t…
Because “D.M.B”, the new track, standing for ‘DAT$ MAH B!*$H’, has dropped a few references to the infamous incident.
And people had varied opinions on the new lyrics…
One person took to Twitter to say: “Asap Rocky is friends with Chris Brown, was even in his music video picture me rollin’ the fact he is trying to shame dude over ten years later for publicity is both petty and unnecessary. Especially when Rihanna is still cool with Chris on the low. #asaprocky #ChrisBrown.”
Another noted that the music video was released on Brown’s birthday, too.
“Asap Rocky dropping a music video all about Rihanna on Chris Brown’s birthday is crazy,” they said.
“I love asap rocky but Chris brown beat Rihanna up 10 years ago chillout,” somebody else wrote.
So, what did he say?
“I don’t beat my b*tch, I need my b*tch,” he rapped in his new track.
That’s not all that shocked viewers, either.
Rocky has also reportedly proposed to RiRi in the music video, as well!
3 minutes into the music video, the rapper displays grills that have golden “MARRY ME?” letters on them, and Rihanna, who features in the video smiled back at Rocky, with her teeth displaying “I DO” in golden letters.
What a way to propose!
