Adam Sandler has admitted what has happened to him after he appeared on Good Morning America with a black eye. And by the sounds of it, he wasn’t proud of how he got it…
Who doesn’t love Adam Sandler, right? He’s certainly one of a kind. And so is his story as to how he got a “little roughed up,” as a host of GMA put it.
Sandler was welcomed to the morning television program to discuss the new movie he stars in, Hustle. But, before he did so, he addressed something that makes Sandler, well, Sandler.
“This is something I have to discuss, right?” he began. “I was in bed, middle of the night, you know how they tuck in your sheets at the bottom?” he continued.
“Somebody tucked in the sheets too much. I had my phone in the middle of the bed. I kicked my feet up to untuck it. The phone went flying, hit me in the head, I refused to acknowledge it,” he explained laughing.
“I felt blood and I said there’s something going on but I’ve gotta sleep, kept sleeping, woke up, and then uh…
“There’s nothing cool about this thing. It looks so cool. When I’m on the streets of New York I see people going ‘oh ok, he likes to fight that guy’ and I’m like ‘it was a bed accident,” he continued.
Yep, we know what you’re thinking. That definitely wasn’t what we were expecting either…
But, after entertaining the GMA hosts and eliciting laughter from the audience, Sandler began to talk about his new movie, Hustle, released on June, 3, of this year.
Reliving his memories from his basketball school days, Sandler said that he would “never forget” what his coach said to him when they were on the bus.
“You always bring good tunes,” his coach had said to Sandler after praising the skills of his other team members.
From movies such as Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Billy Madison, and 50 First Dates to his quirky fashion sense caught by the paparazzi on many occasions…
Sandler never hides behind a facade… Even when he has to admit to the entire world that he had a fight with his bed sheets, and lost. But, that’s why we love him.
