Al Pacino is one of the most beloved actors of all time.
With classics like The Godfather and Scarface under his belt, he is considered one of the greatest and most influential actors of the 20th century.
Pacino has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including an Academy Award, two Tony Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards.
He was also honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2001, the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2007, the National Medal of Arts in 2011, and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.
While he’s undoubtedly respected for his craft, some of Pacino’s personal life choices have garnered some backlash.
The actor is a father to three adult children: daughter Julie Marie with his ex-girlfriend, acting coach Jan Tarrant, and twins Anton and Olivia with ex Beverly D’Angelo.
Much later in his life, however, he became a father once again.
The 83-year-old welcomed a baby boy, Roman Pacino, with his girlfriend, Noor Alfallah, in June 2023.
Not only did fans question Pacino bringing a child into the world at such an old age, many also aren’t happy with the large age-gap between him and his girlfriend.
The award-winning actor has been dating 29-year-old Alfallah since April 2022.
A rep for the star confirmed to PEOPLE in May 2023 that the actor and his girlfriend were expecting their first child together.
“Al loves being a father and always has. He is excited,” a source told the outlet following the big news.
They continued, “Being a parent is and always was an important part of Al’s life.”
Just a few months after their son was born, Pacino established a child support arrangement with his girlfriend.
In the agreement, the actor promised to pay a whopping $30,000 a month in support.
He also agreed to give a portion of his annual gross income, $15,000 a year toward their son’s college savings account for the rest of his life, as well as other payments.
The agreement also includes $110,000 for Alfallah’s relocation and the son’s medical bills that won’t be covered by insurance.
Leading up to Alfallah filing for physical custody of their child, there were rumors that the couple had split.
At the time, Pacino’s representative insisted to Insider that the pair were still together.
Pacino, who has never been married, already went through a bitter child custody battle with his former partner Beverly D’Angelo in 2003.
Even though the actor and his partner are still raising their child together, he may just be trying to avoid going through that same process again.
As for Alfallah, she’s no stranger to dating men much older than her.
Back in 2017, the producer made headlines when she dated Mick Jagger. At the time, he was 74 and she was 22.
“Our ages didn’t matter to me,” she told Hello! Magazine after their breakup in 2018.
“The heart doesn’t know what it sees, it only knows what it feels,” she continued. “It was my first serious relationship, but it was a happy time for me.”
In January 2019, Alfallah sparked romance rumors with Clint Eastwood, who recently turned 93.
But, regardless of them being photographed together in Los Angeles, she shut down those rumors.
“There is no relationship,” she told The Daily Mail at the time.
“We’re family friends, and my family was there and that’s it,” Alfallah insisted. “Trust me, there’s no relationship.”
