Alec Baldwin has revealed why he and his wife, Hilaria, have such a big family.
Baldwin took to Instagram and answered the question, whilst sharing an adorable video.

Alec and Hilaria first met back in 2011.
The pair began dating and after just 5 months they moved in with each other.
Then, just a year later, the pair got married…
The Baldwins exchanged their vows at New York City’s St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in 2012.
Since then, the pair have gone on to grow their family and succeed in their careers.
But this past year, things have been not quite so great for the Baldwins…
It began when Alec Baldwin was given a “prop” gun that mistakenly contained live rounds.
The sixty-three-year-old was using a gun prop on the set of the American Western film, Rust, when he fired a round of blanks that killed cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, as well as wounding the director of the film, Joel Souza.
Souza was immediately rushed to hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.
He was taken to Christus St Vincent Regional Medical Center for further examinations.
Hutchins was taken to the University of New Mexico Hospital but died when she got there.
The forty-two-year-old was transported to the location via helicopter but before she could undergo life-saving treatment, she succumbed to her injuries.
Rust was being filmed at the Bonanza Creek ranch just outside of Santa Fe when the incident occurred on October 21.
Santa Fe police deputies were called to the scene after Baldwin had misfired the prop during a scene.
Since then, Baldwin has gone through a lot of torment over the incident.
Many called out the actor for his actions, whether they were an accident or not.
The events of that day were truly tragic.
And it has been an extremely difficult few months for all involved in the heartbreaking situation.
But Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have found a “bright spot” after “many ups and downs over the past few years.”
And welcomed their 7th child together.
Hilaria announced the news in a post on Instagram.
And since then, congratulations have been pouring in…
One Instagram user wrote: “Oh my gosh! Congratulations!”
While another gushed: “Awe, can’t wait to see that sweet baby girl.”
Hilaria first took to Instagram to share a video of herself and Alec telling their children that she is pregnant.
Alongside the video, Hilaria wrote: “After many ups and downs over the past few years, we have an exciting up and a huge surprise: another Baldwinito is coming this fall.”
“We were pretty sure our family was complete, and we’re beyond happy with this surprise. I’m sharing with you the moment we told the kids — as you can see, they are super excited!”
“A blessing and a gift during such uncertain times,” she wrote adding that the baby was “a very bright spot in our lives.”
Alec has 8 children in total, 7 of which are with Hilaria.
Their children include Carmen Gabriela, 8, Rafael Thomas, 6, Ángel Charles, 5, Romeo Alejandro David, 3, and Eduardo Pao Lucas, who is 1.
Alec also has another child with ex-Kim Basinger.
And that’s twenty-seven-year-old, Ireland.
On September 25 Hilaria gave birth to a baby girl…
Announcing the news of her daughter’s birth in an Instagram post, Hilaria wrote: “She’s here! We are so excited to introduce you to our tiny dream come true.”
As well as announcing her beautiful but quite different name, and yes people couldn’t help but react…
“Fake Spanish name from Boston-born mom,” while a second echoed: “Hilaria & Alec Baldwin had their 7th child. Not one American name, not even a middle name,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Her blatant trying to be Spanish is really quite irritating, why is it okay? Why does she keep trying? Have they really let it go to their heads that much?’ another added.
The comments kept on pouring in…
“Alec Baldwin’s wife faking being Spanish is so crazy. Changing her name from Hillary to Hilaria, naming all 7 of their kids with those roots, pretending to forget the english word for ‘cucumber’, faking an accent. She should’ve changed her name to hilarious instead,” said a fourth.

According to UNILAD, Hilaria said they had named their daughter Ilaria Catalina Irena…
But they didn’t realize it would cause such a commotion.
Hilaria has opened up about the struggle she’s facing raising her children…
After announcing her seventh child.
It was on Instagram that Hilaria announced her ‘mama guilt’ after posting a photo of herself and her kids in front of a mirror.
The caption on the post mentioned the struggles of raising more than 6 children.
“Making sure my other babies feel they have mama time too,” she wrote.
Hilaria continued: “Bringing baby home is magical, and it’s always a transition that we all feel. I am trying to balance new mom again, with breastfeeding, healing, and hustling to make sure all my children feel that I am there to be the best mama I can be.”
She then ended the post, saying, “Am I right? Def not all the time … Mama guilt? Obviously. Emotions: all over the place. 7th time around, I know this is a process.”
Many people have questioned why the Baldwins have so many children.
Well, it seems as though Alec has finally given us the answer…
He took to Instagram, writing: “People comment about how many children we have and ask why.”
“This is why,” he continued.
“The thing in this life that matters most to me are these people,” which was followed up by a video that showed their 2 younger children in a puppy onesie.
Hilaria then went on to share the adorable clip on her own page.
Alongside the video, she wrote: “Some kids want to be superheroes and royals, my babies want to be puppies… as they are animal super fans.
“They dressed up last night… see again that Eduardo always gives María Lucía the bottle first? So sweet.”
Fans couldn’t help but admire how sweet the video was and reassured the couples by saying that they shouldn’t pay attention to people who question why they have a big family.
One user wrote: “Family is everything and it’s no one’s business how many children you have or why.”
A second added: “I think that as long as you can afford to look after them and your heart has room for that much love, you should do what you want! I could only afford to have 2 but I would have loved more.”
