Trump has barely been able to keep AOC’s name out of his mouth of late – but she’s not taking his bullying lying down …
The final presidential debate was interesting to say the least.
Between hurling insults at each other, both Joe Biden and Donald Trump were allowed the time to sway undecided voters.
Right to US representative, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but of course, a powerful woman like that wasn’t going to let him get away with it.
She had some very important advice for the president.
After months of mounting tensions, Trump and his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, faced each other for one last time.
And was moderated by NBC News correspondent, Kristen Welker.
Because, though Biden has a significant lead in the national polls, the gap between him and Trump is gradually reducing in the battleground states.
Remember the first presidential debate, wherein Trump and Biden incessantly spoke over and interrupted one another?
And the second debate fared no better.
But, of course, the president refused point-blank to do this.
So, in a historic first, the second debate was canceled and both candidates went on to attend their own town hall events – on different channels, at the exact same time.
And, in order for the third event to actually take place (and in an orderly manner…)
The Commission on Presidential Debates came up with a new rule.
And at the start of each new topic, each candidate had 2 minutes of uninterrupted time during which the opponent’s microphone was firmly switched off.
And, as has been done before, the moderator ensured that equal amounts of time were given to both the speakers over the course of the ninety minutes.
Mainly because this is Trump’s last chance to salvage the little reputation he has left.
The president seemed to be struggling with the debate’s new “no interruptions” rule.
Admittedly, Trump allowed Biden to have his say (though this may be thanks to his muted microphone).
Trump doesn’t have the best poker face in the world and gave away his struggle with silence last night.
Twitter users were laughing at Trump’s “hilarious” attempt at keeping quiet as Biden spoke.
Including the coronavirus pandemic, the environment, immigration, social issues, and foreign policy.
And some even pointed out how much of a calmer performance Trump gave compared to the previous debate.
And it was over a woman who seems to be on his mind, even when she’s nowhere near him.
While discussing the Democrat’s climate change plan, Donald Trump decided he was going to try and drag her name through the mud, suggesting that she knows absolutely “nothing” about the issue…
And those other 3 women (obviously referring to Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley) also seem to be living rent-free in his head, though I don’t know whether they would take that as a compliment or not.
“…AOC plus three. They know nothing about the climate. She’s got a good line of stuff but she knows nothing about the climate”.
He looked slightly surprised at the mention of “AOC+3” and continued to laugh all the way throughout Trump’s ramblings.
And it’s safe to say, she’s one bad b****. After her tweet was posted, floods of support came through for her.
Her story is really the definition of the American Dream… Well, besides getting attacked by the president on a global platform. I’m sure it’s an honor.
“I wonder if Republicans understand how much they advertise their disrespect of women in debates when they consistently call women members of Congress by nicknames or first names while using titles & last names when referring to men of = stature.
Women notice. It conveys a lot.”
But Trump couldn’t seem to keep AOC’s name out of his mouth …
Which isn’t true, by the way – but AOC hit back in the best way possible.
Pointing this out, instead.
