I love books.

I'm guessing — since you clicked on this headline — that you do, too.

And why shouldn't you? Books are amazing.

But I don't have to tell you that. If you're a true book nerd, you'll have done most (if not all) of the following things:

Checked out more books from the library than you can possibly read in two weeks.

That's what the "renew" option is for! Duh!

Read more than one book at once.

And then having to delicately balance when to stop reading book No. 1 and switch to book No. 2 (or 3 or 4).

Fallen in love with a fictional character.

Every book lover has had (or currently has) a somewhat unhealthy obsession with a fictional character. Some of us have had more than one.

Fallen asleep while reading.

Hopefully, you're lucky and remembered to grab your bookmark before falling asleep. Or you at least stuck your thumb in where you left off.

Cried your eyes out at this episode of The Twilight Zone:

I don't think I've ever empathized with any character more than this poor guy. It isn't fair! It just isn't fair!

Had to navigate around stacks of books throughout your home.

You've got your "to read" pile, your "already read" pile, and your "probably won't read, but want to nearby just in case" pile.

Legit DROOLED over this scene in Beauty and the Beast:

He gives her a library?! Are you KIDDING ME?!

Spent wayyyyy too much money at a bookstore.

(Or on Amazon!) Especially considering this next thing you've absolutely done.

Run out of space to put even one more book on your shelves.

And yet, somehow, you always make it work. (What's the alternative? NOT buying books? Not likely.) If you say you haven't done this next thing you are definitely lying.

Smelled a book.

If you haven't stuck your nose into a book, have you really read it? I don't think so.

Stayed up WAY past your bedtime reading a page-turner.

Me at midnight: Just one more chapter! Me at 2:30 am: That was such a good book. Better start the next one!

Struggled to find a comfortable reading position where your arm doesn't fall asleep after 10 minutes.

Hint: There isn't one. (That doesn't stop you from trying, though.)

Wondered whether getting an e-reader was a betrayal to your love of physical books.

"It's convenient, but what about booooooooks?" I cried out into the void when I learned that Kindles were a thing.

...And ultimately bought one anyway.

Did you know you can check out ebooks from the library? For free?! I mean, come on! This next thing is another struggle I've had.

Wondered whether listening to an audiobook counts as "reading"

It totally does (in my opinion)! Don't let the haters get you down.

Had a mini-freakout over the number of books you'll never read.

If I read 50 books each year for 80 years, that's only 4,000 books! There are so many more books than that in the world! I'm going to die without having read all the books!

Feel personally offended when someone says they don't read.

I mean, you should obviously do whatever makes you happy. But how could reading not make you happy?

Inwardly rolled your eyes whenever someone starts saying that "young people don't read anymore these days."

Excuse me. Have you SEEN my Goodreads "Read" shelf?

Had to really THINK about it when someone asked you what your favorite book is.

Ender's Game! No, Little Women! No, wait! The Name of the WindBlack Swan GreenAnne of Green Gables! Can I just choose them all? Share this with your fellow book-loving friends!
