Allison Janney Feels 'Free' Now She's Stopped Using Hair Dye | 22 Words

In a recent interview, actress Allison Janney revealed her new au naturale look.

The hair dye and extensions are out...

And the natural grey hair is in.

Okay, I'll be the first to admit that Allison was never famous for her lack of grey hair.

The actress has starred in a whole array of blockbusters, such as I Tonya, The Help, and American Beauty, ultimately creating quite the reputation for herself within the world of Hollywood.

Her range is simply spectacular...

And she's won a whole host of prestigious awards to prove it.

For example...

The sixty-one-year-old has scooped an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, 7 Primetime Emmy Awards, and 7 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Not bad for a Massachusets girl, right?

But this week, people are talking about something other than her impressive career...

They're talking about her grey hair.

Yep, Allison Janney's grey hair.

I know what you're thinking - she doesn't exactly have any grey hairs, does she?

Well, it turns out that, for the last couple of years, Allison has been covering her greys with hair dye and extensions...

You know, like the rest of us probably have been.

But this week, while appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show, she revealed that she is officially ditching the dyes and the extensions...

And embracing her natural grey hair.

People are loving her transformation...

Here she is!

Drew instantly addressed Allison's new cut at the start of their interview, and described it as "stunning."

"I cannot tell you how amazing it is to feel free — free from hair color, and hair extensions, and hair tapes, and blah blah blah," Allison responded.

She then described the feeling of running her hands through her hair as being "heaven-like"...

And said that she's "enjoying this new chapter" in her "hairdo world."

"Hopefully sometime a man would be able to run his hands through my hair and appreciate it," she joked.

She then explained that her hair extensions have previously led to some of her "low moments" in her life and career.

"Drew, I had one time, I was flirting with this guy... I was walking down the street in New York and I was just kind of putting my hands through my hair, and 2 extensions came out. I was just dropping them on the ground. I've had more embarrassing moments with hair extensions coming out."
