People are loving this sweet gesture – which is also a powerful statement about sustainability within the fashion industry!
Back in 2014, Angelina Jolie wowed the world on the Oscars red carpet.
She wore a floor-length bejeweled gown by Ellie Saab, and looked undeniably stunning.
But, this week, that same dress got a brand new outing – on Jolie’s daughter, Zahara.
At the premiere of Eternals, all of the Jolie-Pitt gang opted to be outfit repeaters!
“Enjoying your vintage pieces, if you have them, and rediscovering some vintage shops seems like part of the way forward,” Angelina said in her British Vogue interview earlier this year.
And it seems she’s putting her money where her mouth is, with this powerful familial red carpet statement.
“My kids are all mixed with vintage, and in my old Oscars dress. We did all vintage and upcycled my old stuff,” she explained – with Zahara wearing perhaps the most iconic vintage Angelina look.
People are loving this sustainable move.
“Very Beautiful Children. Nothing wrong about recycling. Kids need to learn about how it’s not what you wear, but more about what’s in their heart. I think all kids need a lesson in that. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouths. Rich children should be an example to this,” wrote one Facebook commenter.
Another agreed, adding: “They are beautiful children and she raised them well. The dress looks pretty! Just like me, now and again I raid in my mums wardrobe for beautiful clothes!”
We agree – Zahara looks beautiful, and we should all feel proud to wear the same dress more than once. Especially if it’s a stunning Ellie Saab number!
