Anna Kendrick has opened up about a “toxic” ex-boyfriend, revealing she made embryos with him before their split.

But they kept it so discreet that the general public didn’t know about them until the start of 2022.
According to PEOPLE, the pair dated “quietly for over a year.”
“They met years ago. She’s hosted Saturday Night Live and they’ve done a movie together, but they got together well after the movie,” a source told the publication.
“They are both very private people, and with the pandemic it was easy to keep it quiet. They’re both hysterical so they must keep each other laughing all of the time.
“She’s really, really happy.”
Sadly, they called it quits last June.
It seems Kendrick is enjoying the single life at the minute.
And it sounds like that’s the best thing for her right now, after going through such a rollercoaster with her previous partners.
Which she recently opened up about, talking about one ‘toxic’ ex in particular.
And the revelation is shocking.
The star claimed she had suffered emotional abuse from a former boyfriend.
But she was allegedly blindsided at the time.
To make matters even more difficult, she shared that she actually made embryos with him before they split.
On a recent episode of the Armchair Expert podcast, the 37-year-old candidly discussed her former relationship, confessing she thought he was the one until it all fell apart.
She said: “I was with someone — this was somebody I lived with, for all intents and purposes my husband. We had embryos together, this was my person..
“And then about six years in, about somewhere around there, I remember telling my brother, when things had first kind of gone down, ‘I’m living with a stranger. Like, I don’t know what’s happening.’”
Kendrick went on to say that her ex resorted to “screaming” at her causing her to “[curl] in a ball, sobbing.”
She also recalled when her ex came to visit her on set one time, and she finally asked what was wrong with him. It was at this moment that he revealed he was seeing another woman.
“She explained: “The worst possible thing was, I was like, ‘please don’t say this girl’s name’, and he started talking about this girl.”
Kendrick felt that the breakup was her fault and as a result, she had to rebuild her life after it.
“There was an inherent thing of me being so rejectable that this person who loved me very deeply for six years, it suddenly occurred to him, how awful I was or something,” she added. “The shame, that lingers much longer.”
“I did start going to Al-Anon while all this was going on. I mean, look, I truly dismantled my life, and at first, that was as a reaction to the accusation that I was crazy, and I was the one causing the problem.
“So, I had a conversation with CAA, my agency and said I need to take time off, I have a mental health problem.
“I started seeing two therapists a week and I started trying to learn to meditate and I got into Al-Anon.
“And all of these things ended up being very wonderful things for me in the long run, but initially went into them thinking, ‘Tell me how to stop being crazy. Tell me how to stop feeling anything.’”
According to Kendrick, she found a therapist who helped her understand she needed to start setting boundaries, and things began to look up.
Adding: “And that was really scary and really hard but that is what ended the relationship.”
