The new movie will feature Anne Hathaway and Salma Hayek as the 2 main characters.
Hathaway is best known for the comedy-drama The Devil Wears Prada and more recently the heist film Ocean’s 8.
The actress has won various accolades over her career, which began when she was just a teen…
Including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award.
Now that’s pretty impressive.
But one thing she has yet to tick off her bucket list is working alongside Salma Hayek.

And she most certainly looks like one!
As well as being incredibly talented, she is known for her s*x appeal.
But also for her naturally beautiful looks.
In recent times, Hayek played the wife of Adam Sandler’s character in Grown Ups…
And she co-starred with Antonio Banderas in the Shrek spin-off film Puss in Boots.
It’s understandable why she’s been chosen to star in Netflix’s latest feature film.
It’s bound to be a hit.
The movie is based on Kōtarō Isaka’s 2019 novel titled Seesaw Monster.
The novel is split into 2 stories, titled Seesaw Monster and Spin Monster, that are set in 2 different time periods but ultimately connected.
The first is about a woman in the Showa era, named Mieko, who is the wife of a journalist.
Her storyline revolves around her fighting with her mother-in-law Setsu, which has a deeper meaning than you might think.
Spin Monster then takes place in 2050…
And the story follows the life of a courier called Mito who gets mixed up in an incident regarding a letter written by a genius engineer.
Both stories are intertwined…
But not much is known about what will be taking place in the movie.
Netflix bought the film rights to Seesaw Monster after the success of Kōtarō Isaka’s other adaptation.
His novel Maria Beetle ultimately became the hit movie Bullet Train.
Olivia Milch, known best for her work on Ocean’s 8 and Dude is reportedly writing the screenplay adaptation.
Although the director hasn’t been revealed.
Little is known about the movie in general just yet…
But Netflix has announced that “Hathaway and Hayek Pinault will play rivals forced to work together” in an “action comedy two-hander.”
