Ariana Grande is teasing fans with hints that she may be dropping music.

Ariana Grande has been in the headlines a lot lately, but unfortunately for the singer, it hasn’t been because of her music.

Most recently, Grande made headlines after she ended her marriage to Dalton Gomez.

The pair were first linked in 2020, when the star was spotted kissing a mystery man in Los Angeles, who was later confirmed to be the luxury real estate agent.

The couple revealed that they were engaged in December 2020, and in May 2021, they got married in an intimate ceremony at their Montecito home.

A source confirmed to PEOPLE in July 2023 that the pair had separated earlier in the year.

In September 2023, Grande officially filed for divorce.

“Dalton’s career is demanding and he can’t leave Los Angeles often,” a source said. “So, when [Grande] started filming Wicked in England, they were in for a long-distance marriage.”

The couple finalized their divorce in October 2023, with Grande agreeing to pay her ex-husband a lump sum of $1,250,000 and split the proceeds from the sale of their former Los Angeles home.

A week after the couple’s split was made public, a source told PEOPLE that “Dalton is very religious and was committed to making it work, but Ariana had moved on.”

As it turns out, Grande actually moved on to her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater.

The singer will be portraying Glinda in the movie adaption of the hit Broadway musical, while Slater plays Boq, the love interest of Elphaba’s sister Nessarose.

Shortly after news of Ariana’s split went public, sources confirmed to multiple outlets that Grande and Slater are dating and that both of them separated from their marriage partners.

“Ariana and Dalton separated in January,” one source said. “She and Ethan recently began dating, and he is separated from his wife.”

Ethan and his ex-wife, Lilly Jay, were married in 2018 and had been together since high school.

In 2022, the couple welcomed their first child together.

Though sources say that Grande’s breakup happened well before her relationship with Slater began, Ethan’s wife has a different story.

She directly told Page Six that “[Ariana’s] the story really. Not a girl’s girl. My family is just collateral damage.”

Jay added that she’s just focusing on raising her and Slater’s baby and being “a good mom.”

Ethan officially filed for divorce on July 26, 2023, per TMZ, with a source telling Entertainment Tonight that Lilly is “devastated” by the breakup.

Another source told Page Six that Jay was “completely blindsided” by her ex-husband’s relationship with Ariana.

Now, fans who have stuck by Grande’s side through the controversy have reason to believe she has new music coming out.

After putting her singing career on hold for the past couple years to focus on the Wicked, it looks like Grande is back in the studio.

On Thursday, the performer shared a series of photos and muted videos on Instagram of her at work in a professional recording studio.

In many of the slides, Grande sits at a computer while editing audio files that are visible on the screen.

Unfortunately for eager Arianators, the “Side to Side” singer didn’t provide a caption for the post, so the pictures and clips are all the confirmation we have.

Still, Grande’s close friend and frequent collaborator Victoria Monet did comment, “She’s HOME!!!🤎🤎🤎🥂”

Cynthia Erivo, who’s starring as Elphaba opposite Grande’s Glinda in the Wicked movies, also hopped in the comments, writing that “no one is ready.”

“I’m so freaking proud of you!!” She continued. “This project is so freaking special!!!”

What project Erivo is actually speaking about, we have yet to see. But Ariana certainly has enough material for another project.
