Author Emily Giffin Unleashes on Meghan Markle Over Archie’s Birthday Video

Baby Archie celebrated his first birthday in style this week, and although he might have received well-wishes from his family, the public doesn’t seem too eager to jump on board. In fact, some Twitter users expressed their disdain for the “ex-Duchess” by shaming Meghan for her latest video with baby Archie, and the comments are sickening.

But author Emily Giffin decided she was going to take things to a whole other level and completely destroy Markle online in a very disturbing rant.

They make for the cutest little family.

But things haven’t been as rosy and smooth-sailing as they have been appearing. And it gets worse since the virus outbreak started taking over the world…

Joining the British royal family was never going to be an easy transition, given that a person has to give up their entire life in order to be a part of the monarchy. But Meghan’s experience has been especially difficult.

And many attacked the Duchess, slamming her as “fake,” with some going as far as accusing her of breaking up the royal family entirely.

To the point where Kensington Palace was forced to issue a statement, pleading for the press and the public alike to take a step back when it comes to their scathing reporting and bombardment of Meghan.

Because they announced that they will be officially stepping down as senior members of the royal family and even then, people like Emily Giffin still have a problem with her.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen,” the post read.

And announced that they will be splitting their time between the U.K and North America. “This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity,” they wrote.

Is how hard this whole experience must have been for Meghan – a new mother.

That includes baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. You couldn’t make up a more royal-sounding name if you tried.

What a year it has been!

Which means they’re far from many family members.

The Queen herself was one of the first to offer her well wishes.

These pictures are too adorable for words.

But despite the well-wishes, not everyone was impressed by Meghan’s latest video celebrating Archie’s first birthday.

In fact, people thought she posted the video for attention.

To show support for the save the children’s #SaveWithStories campaign to bring food and learning resources to children impacted by the pandemic.

But it seems as though that little fact slipped people’s minds.

With most people more concerned with the fact the couple aren’t necessarily “royal” anymore.

Some even stooped as low as calling Meghan a gold digger.

How can people post this stuff?

advertisement

As a way of staying in the spotlight.

Plastered across her Instagram account, she decided she was going to savage Meghan while at the same time commending Archie and Harry… This is the most confusing clash of ideas ever.

It started off with an Instagram story that said “Happy Birthday Archie. Go away, Megan.”

“Holy ‘me first.’ This is the Megan show. Why didn’t she film and let Harry read? And why didn’t she take the moment at the end to say ‘he said daddy!’ Because that would make it about Harry for a split second, God forbid,” she wrote.

“Also, you want privacy for your child so you put out a video (by your authorized biographer) of him …. wearing no pants?! Ooookay ….” Um… he’s 1-years-old? Get over it.

In this text conversation, she described Meghan as so “unmaternal.” Is she for real?

A “class act” are they?

She also later posted this onto her Instagram explaining her feelings further. She writes: “To be clear, I absolutely loved that a biracial, American woman was marrying into the Royal Family. It seemed a wonderful, happy thing for everyone. I celebrated their wedding by hosting a gathering here at my home and posting many, many photos. Further, I was appalled by any signs of racism against her.”

advertisement

“Over recent months my feelings about BOTH Harry and Meghan changed. But I can say from the bottom of my heart that my criticism of Meghan has never had anything to do with race. Further, I understood why she wanted to leave the monarchy and carve out her own path. I do, however, find fault with the way BOTH she and Harry handled things, and those feelings bled over in later posts, including the ones today.”

advertisement

“I can see how some of my posts may have felt mean-spirited, and could be construed as having racial undertones. It was not my intent, but I understand that intent and impact are two very different things. And I am truly sorry for that negative impact.”
