Last year was Hannah Brown's season...

The former beauty pageant holder had already appeared in the show's twin series, The Bachelor, and she is no stranger to being in the limelight.

And it was Tyler who was actually Hannah's first one-on-one date.

He was an ambitious man...

On his Bachelorette profile, Tyler's occupation was listed as a psychology graduate student with a side business in Dream Therapy Analysis.

He was a "laid-back" guy...

"Tyler G. is a very laid-back guy with a go-with-the-flow kind of attitude," his profile read. "He avoids clubs at all costs and would much rather spend time reading, going to Soul Cycle or relaxing on his boat."

He was a modern romantic...

"Tyler considers himself a modern romantic and is looking for his equal match, who he says is a confident girl that isn't afraid to lay it all out on the table and is one that can make him laugh. Knock, knock. Who's there? Hannah!" it goes on to read.

However, things weren't meant to be...

Tyler's time on the show was very short-lived, and not long after his date and outing with Hannah, she revealed on the show that he would no longer participate.

A reason wasn't given as to why Tyler left the show...

'Tyler G. had to leave, and that's upsetting because I really enjoyed my date with him," Hannah explained shortly.

Tyler remained active on social media following his departure...

But he never addressed why he left.

He has remained under the radar over the last few months...

But TMZ officially reported his death yesterday.

And it is strongly suspected that his death has been caused by a drug overdose when he was admitted to hospital on the 13th of January.

This wouldn't be the first time...

This news comes after it was reported that Tyler spent at least a week in the hospital following a possible overdose.

While it remains uncertain what Tyler overdosed on...

The 911 dispatch call revealed that a female officer told dispatchers that it may have been heroin.

The caller was pleading for Tyler to wake up...

It was reported that the caller could be heard frantically attempting to gain access to the bathroom where Tyler had locked himself in while looking for Narcan - a nasal spray used to reverse opioid overdoses.

The caller eventually broke into the bathroom, but she struggled to lay Tyler on his back because "he was too heavy"...

"Is he breathing?" the dispatcher asked.

"I can't tell. I can't tell. I'm so scared," she responded, "Wake up, wake up, look at me, wake up! I don't know where the Narcan is, I don't know why it's not here... please wake up! Please wake up!"

This is a tragic loss.
