A BBC reporter tweeted that the Queen had died, before quickly deleting it, and now they’ve issued an apology for the incorrect statement.

In recent years, people have been, understandably, more concerned for the Queen.

Losing a partner of more than seventy years must be horrific. And right after that, she was struck with another painful blow just a few months later.

At the time, according to friends, the Queen was using her dogs to help cope with the grief of losing Philip…

The Queen is known for being a true animal lover, with one animal, in particular, that’s always been associated with HRH.

The Queen was given her first corgi, Susan, on her eighteenth birthday in 1944.

  via Getty Images

It has been estimated that the Queen has owned more than thirty dogs during her reign, all of which were from the same family.

Her most famous dog is Monty, who appeared with her in a sketch for the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics…

  via Getty Images

The queen had planned not to get any more dogs after Vulcan, her dorgi – a dachshund-corgi cross – passed away last year. She was left with just 1 corgi called Candy.

She acquired 2 new four-legged friends when Philip was hospitalized…

  via Getty Images

And their names had truly special meanings…

Fergus was named after her uncle Fergus Bowes-Lyon, who was killed in action during the First World War.

  via Getty Images

The second dog, Muick, pronounced Mick, is a pure-bred corgi and named after Loch Muick, a favorite spot for the Royals during their summer holiday.

When the news of the new dogs came out, Royal biographer Penny Junor said: “Her corgis are hugely important to her.”

  via Getty Images

“They have over the years been closer to her than any human being. The corgis are intensely loyal and loving and they have never let her down.”

But sadly, just a month after Philip died…

  via Getty Images

Her 5-month-old puppy Fergus passed away.

Fergus had been purchased by Prince Andrew to help his mother cope with the grieving process.

  via Getty Images

But sources confirmed Fergus passed away in May, just a month after she lost her husband.

A source told The Sun: “The Queen is absolutely devastated.

  via Getty Images

“The puppies were brought in to cheer her up during a very difficult period.”

“Everyone concerned is upset as this comes so soon after she lost her husband.”

  via Getty Images

It seems that as she tries to handle all her grief, Queen Elizabeth appears to be struggling physically as well as emotionally…

She was snapped at Westminster Abbey with her daughter for the Thanksgiving service…

  via Getty Images

To celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the British Royal Legion.

But as soon as she stepped out of her car, people noticed something concerning…

  via Getty Images

She was using a walking stick to support herself, something she hasn’t been seen with for seventeen years.

The only other time the Queen has been pictured with a stick was after her knee operation back in 2003…

  via Getty Images

But she quickly recovered and stopped using it the following year, in 2004.

The pictures have clearly left a lot of people worried about her physical health…

  via Getty Images

However, although it might be a little alarming, the Queen still looks to be her usual upbeat self.

But royal doctors are reported to have given her a stern health warning.

  via Getty Images

And people were left worried all over again…

Queen Elizabeth has reportedly been told to stop drinking by royal doctors.

  via Getty Images

As per Vanity Fair, 2 sources claim that doctors have advised the queen to cut out alcohol except for special occasions.

“The Queen has been told to give up her evening drink which is usually a martini,” the source said.

  via Getty Images

“It’s not really a big deal for her, she is not a big drinker but it seems a trifle unfair that at this stage in her life she’s having to give up one of very few pleasures.”

Doctors are said to have given her the warning about alcohol to ensure she is as healthy as possible for her full schedule.

  via Getty Images

It also comes ahead of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

However, things went from bad to worse as the queen suffered a sprained back, resulting in her absence from the Remembrance service in London.

  via Getty Images

The service would have been her first appearance since being admitted to hospital, after which she was advised by her doctors to rest for 2 weeks and only undertake “desk-based duties,” as per Buckingham Palace.

The palace released a statement ahead of the Remembrance event…

  via Getty Images

“The Queen, having sprained her back, has decided this morning with great regret that she will not be able to attend today’s Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph.”

“Her Majesty is disappointed that she will miss the service,” it continued.

  via Getty Images

“As in previous years, a wreath will be laid on Her Majesty’s behalf by the Prince of Wales.

“His Royal Highness, along with the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra will be present at the Cenotaph today as planned.”

The Queen has only ever missed 6 cenotaph ceremonies in her sixty-nine-year reign…

  via Getty Images

But that’s not the only commitment that’s had to be canceled as the Queen’s in-person appearance at the General Synod was also canceled with the Earl of Wessex attending instead.

While attending the Synod, the Earl read a speech to bishops and clergy at the Westminster headquarters of the Church of England on behalf of the queen, The Sun reported.

  via Getty Images

But what the Queen had to say in her speech has broken hearts…

In her speech, the queen praised the Church of England for offering “hope” during the pandemic.

  via Getty Images

A period of time that she described as full “of anxiety, grief & weariness.”

“It is hard to believe that it is over fifty years since Prince Philip and I attended the very first meeting of the General Synod,” the Earl also read on her behalf.

  via Getty Images

“None of us can slow the passage of time; and while we often focus on all that has changed in the intervening years, much remains unchanged, including the Gospel of Christ and his teachings.”

She’s shown her nation just how motivated she is to carry on with her duties.

  via Getty Images

As she returned back to work after telling Armed Force Chiefs that she couldn’t move.

The Queen was back to work, smiling, and performing duties for her nation.

  via Getty Images

And she did so via a Zoom conference call.

The Queen virtually welcomed ambassadors, and definitely displayed her ability to power through.

Attending the virtual call was Ambassador of Finland Jukka Siukosaari, with Mariella Siukosaari, and the Ambassador of Jordan Manar Dabbas, with Muna Abuhassan.

And she even managed to crack an adorable smile for her audience.

Despite feeling tense after yesterday.

And it’s safe to say, that the Queen has had a lot to feel tense about lately.

  via Getty Images

Especially after Prince Charles tested positive for the coronavirus.

And after the news that Prince Andrew made a settlement of £12 million amid Virginia Giuffre claimed she was s*xually abused by him.

  via Getty Images

Which, according to the Telegraph, he will pay using money from Queen Elizabeth II, who also recently stripped him of all of his military titles.

However, that doesn’t stop the Queen from ensuring her job continues on.

  via Getty Images

Including her partaking in her Platinum Jubilee celebration over the weekend…

The celebration, which marked a whopping 70 years of the Queen’s reign, was well attended.

  via Getty Images

The vast majority of the royals were there for the many different ceremonies and events over the four days.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were there with their children.

  via Getty Images

Alongside Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla.

And as ever, all eyes were fixed on the family in the hopes of seeing some drama.

  via Getty Images

Particularly between Kate Middleton and her son, Prince Louis.

Because it seemed as though little Louis really wasn’t enjoying the celebrations…

  via Getty Images

As he was spotted pulling a series of amusing facial expressions that got the whole internet talking!

“Oh my Gosh!!!! I can’t!! Cuteness overload!! Prince Louis is so freaking adorable!” one fan wrote.

  via Getty Images

Another agreed, adding, “Prince Louis is stealing the show once again.”

However, others think Kate was ‘furious’ at the little one’s behavior…

  via Getty Images

“He’s going to be trouble! Kate looks furious!” one person wrote.

While some are questioning whether Kate is truly angry with her child, it seems others are just happy to see the Prince acting like a normal kid.

“So lovely to see him acting like any other child! They seem to be lovely parents who are doing a brilliant job raising their family!” one person wrote.

  via Getty Images

“They might be royal, they are still human!” another said.

We have to say, we’re loving this cheeky behavior!

  via Getty Images

But, that’s not the only moment people have paid attention to…

Because Prince Charles addressing the Queen as “mummy” in his Jubilee speech has really turned some heads.

  via Getty Images

In his speech, the Prince of Wales thanked his mother for the seventy years she has reigned as Queen…

“Your Majesty, mummy, you have met us and talked with us, you laugh and cry with us, and most importantly, you have been there for us for these seventy years. You pledged to serve your whole life. You continue to deliver. That is why we are here. That is what we celebrate tonight. These pictures on your house are the stories of your life, and ours. So, Your Majesty, that is why we all say thank you,” the speech said.

And although Prince Charles elicited a huge cheer from the crowd, social media became divided over his choice of words for his mom.

  via Getty Images

One person wrote: “Something deeply disturbing about a 70-year-old man who says, Mummy.”

“Prince Charles referring to the Queen as ‘mummy’ – a bit strange,” said another.

  via Getty Images

Another said that it had “ruined” their year: “Prince Charles saying “Mummy” has ruined my year actually.”

“Prince Charles calling queen Liz ‘mummy’: new level of ick unlocked,” another expressed.

  via Getty Images

But, some just didn’t understand the problem, with one person saying before the ceremony that they were looking forward to hearing him pay tribute to his mom.

“One of the moments I’m most looking forward to during the #PlatinumJubilee celebrations is #PrinceCharles paying tribute to the Queen, his beloved mummy,” they wrote.

“Thank you to Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall. You’re work service to the country, the commonwealth, and the world is often understated. Your sense of humor and gentleness is so much like The Queen ‘Mummy’ lovely touch, showing you’re in tune with the public. Thank you too all,” another wrote.

  via Getty Images

“Reading some rather nasty comments because Prince Charles said, mummy. I can’t see the big deal,” said somebody else.

But now, the Queen is making headlines again for some heartbreaking news…

  via Getty Images

And it’s linked to her childhood friend.

The sad news comes just months after the monarch also lost fellow close friends the Duchess of Grafton and Lady Farnham, The Mirror reports.

  via Getty Images

The Queen’s Scottish-born friend Lady Myra Butter and Her Majesty were “both young girls after she was enlisted to join her in various childhood activities,” including swimming and attending Brownies.

Even so, Lady Myra Butter told The Telegraph last year that “the Guides and the Brownies were a real mixture and was nice” to join friends, family, and “all the people in the royal mews.”

  via Getty Images

She remained close to Her Majesty and also had a long-standing friendship with Philip — who she paid a “beautiful tribute” to after his death last year.

Where she mentioned how “lost” the Queen would be without her husband.

  via Getty Images

She also didn’t hesitate to explain that “Philip’s dedication to duty meant nobody could have done that job” as the Duke of Edinburgh had done for decades.

But it was only at the beginning of this year when Lady Myra Butter handed back the Pushkin medal which she was awarded by President Vladimir Putin.

  via Getty Images

For bringing Russian and Scottish schoolchildren together — but this is no big news for the Queen’s inner circle member…

As she was a descendant of Tsar Nicholas I and of poet and play-writer Alexander Pushkin.

  via Getty Images

But sadly, Lady Myra Butter passed away at the age of 97 in London…

Rest in peace, Lady Myra Butter.

  via Getty Images

And now, people have spotted a rare but rather delightful sight and it has got social media users talking — this time about the Queen’s granddaughter.

Yes, we’re talking about Lady Louise Windsor.

  via Getty Images

And trust us, you’re going to want to know more…

If you didn’t already know, Lady Louise Windsor is 18 years old.

  via Getty Images

And was recently expecting her A-level results…

A spokesman for her confirmed she will start at the University of St Andrews in Scotland next month to study English.

  via Getty Images

The spokesperson also revealed the good news to the press.

“Having received her A-level results today, Lady Louise will start at St Andrews University in September to study English,” they said.

  via Getty Images

But she was recently spotted somewhere rather unexpected…

“I knew the cost of the living crisis was bad, but I didn’t think I’d ever see a grandchild of The Queen working in a garden center,” said one shocked shopper.

  via Getty Images

“She is a really modest and sweet young woman who is polite and attentive to customers. She seemed to be loving the job,” another added.

While another shopper just couldn’t believe it was her…

“I couldn’t believe it was Lady Louise – I had to look twice,” they confessed.

  via Getty Images

“You’d never imagine The Queen’s granddaughter would take on a role working behind a till,” said another.

“It’s not every day you buy your begonias off a Royal,” joked one person.

  via Getty Images

While another complimented Lady Louise and said the “staff seemed to adore her.”

According to The Sun, Lady Louise Windsor started the job at a garden center while waiting for her A-Level results which yesterday saw her accepted into university.

  via Getty Images

Apparently, her role is believed to involve working the tills, greeting customers, and pruning and potting plants.

But it’s her wage that’s grabbing eyeballs…

As per reports, the daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex is believed to be earning around £6.83 ($8.09) per hour.

  via Getty Images

That’s the new generation of royals for you!

But back to Queen Elizabeth…

  via Getty Images

Her Majesty’s former chef has revealed her favorite meal, which she’s eaten every day since she was 5 years old.

“The Queen was served jam pennies in the nursery as a little girl, she’s had them for afternoon tea ever since,” he said.

  via Getty Images

“Simple – just bread and jam with a little butter, usually strawberry jam. We’d make the jam at Balmoral Castle with gorgeous Scottish strawberries from the gardens.”

Sadly, the most recent news about the Queen is a little less upbeat…

  via Getty Images

As doctors have revealed they’re concerned for her health.

Buckingham Palace has revealed that the Queen is currently under medical supervision at Balmoral.

  via Getty Images

According to the BBC, Prince Charles has reportedly traveled to Balmoral with the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke of Cambridge will join them soon.

Since the news broke, Buckingham Palace has released a statement…

  via Getty Images

“Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral,” the statement read.

Alongside Prince Charles and Camila, Prince Andrew and the Count and Countess of Wessex have been notified of the Queen’s health.

  via Getty Image

The announcement of her majesty’s health was raised when she was pulled out of a meeting of her Privy Council on Wednesday.

An inaccurate tweet followed news of the Queen’s ill health by a BBC reporter who announced the Queen had died before quickly deleting it.

  via Getty Images

The tweet was posted by reporter Yalda Hakim but was quickly deleted.

Hakim later apologized for the post, which hundreds had already seen.

  via Getty Images

“I tweeted that there had been an announcement about the death of the Queen. This was incorrect, there has been no announcement, and so I have deleted the tweet. I apologise,” she wrote.
