Billie Eilish shut down the white people saying "All Lives Matter" instead of "Black Lives Matter" following George Floyd's death, and she didn't hold back...

And her words against white people saying "All Lives Matter" has truly made an impact. But firstly, let's start from the beginning...

Aged just eighteen, Billie has taken the music industry by storm.

She's been writing and creating her own music since she was incredibly young, and has risen to fame with huge hit album When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? that was released in March, 2019.

She's known for being somewhat of a quirky character...

Billie was home-schooled, so she didn't get the chance to interact with others of her own age apart from her siblings until she started to make waves in the music scene, which has given her something of a unique outlook on the world.

It also gives her music a different sound...

Many are pretty shocked that such a young person could create such hauntingly catchy tunes - and such suggestive lyrics.

Her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, ranked at number 1 on the charts.

Most artists have to release a couple of albums and dedicate their lives to promoting their work before they are even recognized as an artist, but then there’s a lucky few, like Billie, who reach superstardom on their first attempt. When the album was released, she wrote, “This album [means] the world to me please take care of it."

But that wasn't even the first time that we saw her climbing the charts...

Her introductory EP, Don’t Smile at Me, went all the way to slot fourteen, and has already been awarded gold, an achievement that many artists can only dream of receiving.

Her most recent single Everything I Wanted has been a huge success...

And we must say, it is an incredibly beautiful song.

But, it's safe to say, Billie is as famous for her image as she is for her music...

She doesn't dress like your typical eighteen-year-old-girl, that's for sure.

She is known for rocking some pretty out-there looks...

Like this full white suit complete with Powerpuff Girl embroidery, which she pairs with some signature tiny sunglasses. Weird - but it kind of works?

Or what about this full green ensemble?

We have to say, love it or hate it, you can't deny Billie's commitment to her look - and that's not something many of us are brave enough to pull off.

And Billie doesn't just experiment with fashion...

The star is no stranger to getting creative with her hair - opting for more out there looks and colors to fit her quirky aesthetic.

But more recently, she has been rocking something very eye-popping...

Billie has been sporting neon green roots.

This seems to be a favorite of hers...

Because she's rocked the neon green for quite some time now.

But it turns out that there's a reason behind Billie's quirky look...

Her choices in fashion - which strongly consist of baggy, oversized clothes - are picked to protect herself from her global audience body-shaming her and judging her on her natural appearance.

Speaking in an interview last year, Billie explained these choices...

"That’s why I wear baggy clothes," she said. "Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath. Nobody can be like, ‘she’s slim-thick,’ ‘she’s not slim-thick,’ ‘she’s got a flat a**,’ ‘she’s got a fat a**.’ No one can say any of that because they don’t know."

And we honestly don't blame Billie for having this attitude.

But sadly, people have already attempted to exploit and body-shame the teenager. Even when she was as young as fifteen, online trolls were trying to sexualize her for no apparent reason.

It's terribly sad that the singer has to put up with this treatment...

And it is a harsh reality that young women in the spotlight are always targeted by older people.

Many of these perverts have tried to blame her lyrics.

But let me get this straight. Just because there’s a line in her song “bad guy" that reads: “bruises on both my knees for you," it’s now acceptable to start sexualizing her? I really don’t see the correlation here.

Billie has the right to write about whatever she wants...

There's no excuse for sexualizing a young woman... Or any woman of any age, for that matter.

But thankfully, Billie hasn't let these awful comments get to her...

And she has shown real maturity in the last few years, despite her very young age.

And Billie has now pulled out all of the stops.

Our country has been truly torn apart since the death of George Floyd last week - an unarmed and peaceful black man who was killed after a white police officer knelt on his neck and suffocated him.

A number of celebrities have been using their platform to speak out about this tragic death...

And, of course, to promote the "Black Lives Matter" campaign.

Hundreds of thousands of people have taken angrily to the streets all around the country to protest...

And as the activists have been arguing for the rights of black people, there has sadly been the adoption of the phrase "All Lives Matter" - suggesting that the focus shouldn't just be on black people.

So many people have been left outraged by those white individuals using this phrase...

And Billie has decided to address the matter herself... and she didn't hold back.

She posted a lengthy Instagram post yesterday...

She started by writing: "I have an enormous platform and I try really hard to be respectful and take time to think through what I say and how I say it… but holy f****** s*** I’m just gonna start talking. If I hear one more white person say 'All Lives Matter' one more f****** time I'm going to lose my f****** mind."

"All you MFs do is find a way to make everything about yourself."

"No one is saying your life doesn’t matter. No one is saying your life is not hard. No one is saying literally anything at all about you... This is not about you. You are not in need. You are not in danger," she went on to say. "Are you gonna wait to give all your friends a bandaid first because all arms matter? NO, you’re gonna help your friend because THEY are in pain because THEY are in need because THEY ARE BLEEDING."

The singer stressed the fact that black people are the ones who are in danger every single day... and not white people.

"It just lets you live your life without having to worry about surviving simply because of your skin color. If all lives matter why are black people killed just for being black? Why are immigrants persecuted? Why are white people given opportunities that people of other races aren’t?" she asked. "The slogan #blacklivesmatter does not mean that other lives don’t. It’s calling attention to the fact that society clearly thinks black lives don’t f****** matter! And they f****** do!"

Billie's post was met with a lot of praise...

And people thanked the singer for using her fame to speak out about this important issue - which is what so many celebrities haven't been doing.

Many have thanked the singer for using her voice to educate others...

And it's easy to see that this subject is taken extremely seriously by Billie, which should be the case for everyone.
