Bindi Irwin Gushes Over 'Magical' Pregnancy While Showing off Sonogram | 22 Words

In the month following from her announcement, Bindi Irwin has given us all a heartwarming update regarding her highly-publicized pregnancy...

You might have already heard...

But Bindi Irwin is expecting her first child.

Ever since their announcement last month, fans of the young crocodile hunter have been besides themselves with excitement.

Another Irwin in the world? This is exactly what 2020 needs.

However, news and updates regarding her pregnancy have been scarce.

Though Bindi is very active on social media, she and the rest of her family have always maintained a high level of privacy when it comes to more personal affairs.

So, of course, Bindi has kept her pregnancy quite close to her chest...

Well, until now, that is.

Yesterday, the young woman gave a much-needed update regarding her pregnancy...

And she did it in the most heartwarming of ways.

Now, Bindi has been in the public eye for quite some time...

As a little girl, she would regularly feature on Steve Irwin's highly popular documentaries.

Sadly, Steve passed away in 2006 from a stingray attack while filming in the Great Barrier Reef.

And, at the young age of just 8-years-old, Bindi read out a eulogy during her dad's memorial service.

Now, over a decade after her father's death, Bindi continues to follow in her father's footsteps, along with the rest of her family...

Terri, Bindi, and Robert have all worked hard to keep Steve's legacy alive through their important work at his pride and joy, Australia Zoo.

And as you'd expect, this is where Bindi met her now-husband, Chandler Powell.

The pair met when Chandler, who's now twenty-two, was visiting the zoo while in Australia for a professional wakeboarding competition from the United States.

They have now been together for almost 7 years.

American-born Chandler exhibits the same passion for animals as the Irwin's, working with Bindi and her family at Australia Zoo.

And on Bindi's twenty-first birthday...

She announced to her fans that they were engaged.

She shared this picture on her Instagram...

Alongside the caption: "On my birthday I said ‘yes’ and ‘forever’ to the love of my life. Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness. I’m so looking forward to spending our forever together as your wife. Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose, and unconditional love. — Now let’s get married already!"

Here's what Chandler wrote on his Instagram...

"She said YES! Almost 6 years ago we met at Australia Zoo. I immediately fell head over heels for her kind and thoughtful heart that radiates so much light. Proposing in her very favorite place in the zoo, surrounded by animals, seemed like the perfect way to embark on this incredible new chapter in our lives. Bee, I love you more than anything in this world and I always will. Happy Birthday," he wrote.

Of course, Bindi's younger brother, Robert, was quick to offer his congratulations to the happy couple.

The sixteen-year-old showed a bit of brotherly love, writing that the couple are "true soulmates" and have "always been so completely perfect for each other."

And earlier this year, the happy day finally arrived.

On March 25th, 2020, Bindi and Chandler finally said their "I do's" and became husband and wife.

It was a small and private ceremony...

"We held a small ceremony and I married my best friend. There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now. We’ve planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn’t have guests at our wedding. This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however, it’s lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos," Bindi wrote on her Instagram.

They had no guests due to coronavirus restrictions...

"We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however it’s lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos. Right now we’re encouraging the world to hold onto hope and love, which will carry us forward during this profound time in history. Today we celebrated life and reveled in every beautiful moment we shared together in our Australia Zoo gardens. Mum helped me get ready, Robert walked me down the aisle, Chandler became my husband and together we lit a candle in Dad’s memory," she explained.

They got married in a secluded location where Steve used to regularly film...

And Bindi recently spoke fondly of the day and how she honored her late dad.

They felt their wedding location was "meant to be"...

Speaking to PEOPLE, Bindi said: "Where we got married was such a special place to dad. It’s a beautiful little area where he had filmed for many years. It felt really wonderful and just meant to be."

Steve was with them throughout the entire ceremony...

"We had dad’s picture with his dog Sui blown up on an easel," she explained, "So mom and Robert were standing right next to dad as we exchanged vows. We had a candle-lighting ceremony for him, and it really felt like he was there with us. It was a lovely moment of peace and happiness."

And for an added touch...

Bindi's bouquet that she carried down the aisle was finished with a khaki bow, which was Steve's signature color. "Most brides have something blue; I had my khaki," she said.

She has even kept her surname as a legacy to her dad.

Speaking to ET, Bindi said: "I’ve kept Bindi Irwin. I think that for me personally, after dad [Steve Irwin] passed away it was really important for me to feel close to him, and having his last name means so much to me."

Chandler added that they talked about the possible name change, but at the end of the day she's "an Irwin through and through."

"Chandler has become an Irwin now," Bindi said with a laugh. "It has become a part of me. Everyone has their own ideas, but the nice thing is that it's 2020 now, anything works!"

And then, just 5 months on from their wedding...

The couple came forward with yet another exciting announcement.

They're expecting!

Yep, Bindi took to Instagram last month to reveal that she is pregnant with her first child.

She shared this photo of her and Chandler holding up a miniature khaki shirt...

Alongside the caption: "Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honor to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter."

She continued:

"We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light."

Her husband, Chandler, seconded her announcement.

He wrote excitedly: "We’re going to be parents!! We have a baby Wildlife Warrior on the way coming in 2021. Becoming a dad is the highlight of my life. I cannot wait to embark on this new adventure and life chapter with my gorgeous wife, @BindiIrwin. Bee, you’re going to be the most amazing mother."

Bindi's mom, Terri, expressed her joy, also.

She also noted, "I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud."

But, a month on from the announcement, updates have been sparse.

Bindi posted this photo on September 1st, writing: "Our baby Wildlife Warrior is going to be so very loved by our families and entire Australia Zoo team. I can’t wait to find out what this amazing new soul loves in life, and experience the world all over again through their eyes."

But we are yet to see anything regarding the pregnancy.

Does she have a bump yet? Have they had their first sonogram? How has her morning sickness been? No one knows!

Well, Bindi has finally given us the update we've been so eagerly waiting for...

And, by the sounds of things, her "magical" pregnancy has been nothing short of a dream.

Sharing a photo of her and Chandler proudly holding a koala, a joey, and the photos from their sonogram, Bindi wrote:

"The animal joeys we care for are excited to meet our human joey. Baby Wildlife Warrior is about the size of a hummingbird now! We can’t wait to teach our little one about the importance of protecting our planet and the beauty of the wildlife and wild places we love so much. Thank you for your kindness and support on this magical journey."

And, if you look closely at the photo Chandler shared...

Is that the hint of a baby bump we see? Congratulations to the happy couple! For more on the Irwins, keep scrolling...
