While also thinking about what the new year may bring.

It’s a great time to have a look at what’s in store for the year ahead…

While keeping our fingers crossed that it can’t be any worse than this year… or can it?

Well, judging by French astrologer, Nostradamus’ predictions for 2023 is looking pretty bleak.

Nostradamus is believed to have predicted the future in his book, Les Propheties, published in 1995, the Daily Mail reports.

The outlet reports that Nostradamus’ book was heavily inspired by biblical texts, alongside his own experiences.

Many of his predictions are open to interpretation and some believe that they are vague they could mean anything…

But despite that, he predicted a robot invasion and an Astroid strike among the predictions for this year…

And back then people have a lot to say about it…

“Bring it on,” one user said.

While another simply said: “Nostradamus and his ‘predictions’ have been up for debate for centuries…always relevant and applicable to the contemporary… and then disproven and reapplied. don’t member global warming…convenient.”

“Great positive way to start 2022,” said a third.

While others seemed to mark predictions as a disappointment.

“Well, that’s cheered me no end! Especially after just watching a film on Netflix about a comet wiping out Earth1 I’m past caring to be fair,” chipped in a fourth.

“Anyone who actually reads the original predictions will know that they are so random and vague they can mean whatever you want them to… and assign any weird meaning to fit in with your own opinions,” added another.

“At least there’s no zombie apocalypse on the list.”

“In order to make it true, we have to make those robots do as he said. Otherwise, everyone is nothing more than just a sad little theorist.”

“I’m sure my iPhone 8 is going to take over the house and start watching TV on its own lol. The movie Soylent Green was also supposed to take place in the year 2022.”

“These are our only hopes now,” concluded another.

According to the Daily Mail, Nostradamus, in his 1555 book, predicted that climate change would become such an issue that it will not rain for forty years.

Eventually, when the rains do return, Nostradamus claimed that there would be “great floods” affecting many countries.

He further predicted that in 2022 climate change would cause sea temperatures to rise so much so that the fish would be half cooked.

The United Nations have recently warned that planet Earth is likely to warm by 1.5C within the next twenty years and an increase that comes more than a decade earlier than previously believed, the outlet reports.

We have already seen folding in parts of Asia and the Middle East in countries like Pakistan and Dubai.

Nostradamus also appeared to have predicted in his book that Earth will be hit by an asteroid strike this year that will consequently cause fires and many deaths.

“New, impetuous and sudden rain/ Will suddenly halt two armies/ Celestial stone, fires make the sea stony/ The death of seven by land and sea sudden,” he reportedly wrote in one passage.

Nostradamus then predicted that inflation would cause starvation on a mass level.

“No abbots, monks, no novices to learn/ Honey shall cost far more than candle-wax/ So high the price of wheat that man is stirred/ His fellow man to eat in his despair,” he is said to have written.

Across the globe, many countries have seen price increases one of the reasons being due to the coronavirus pandemic, but even more so due to the war between Ukraine and Russian.

And finally, Nostradamus predicted the rise of robots and artificial intelligence.

“The Moon in the full night over the high mountain/ The new sage with a lone brain sees it/ By his disciples invited to be immortal/ Eyes to the south/ Hands in bosoms, bodies in the fire,” he wrote.

But what has us glued to our screens is his predictions for 2023…

According to reports in the LADBible, the fortune teller has revealed one bombshell of a revelation…

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Nostradamus revealed Charles will abdicate the throne and this has Nostradamus believers raising their eyebrows.

The fortune teller also predicted World War Three, and with the growing enmity between Russia and Ukraine, it could be possible.

“Seven months the Great War, people dead of evil-doing,” the 15th-century mystic wrote.

But reports also suggest that it could also refer to the conflict going on in Southeast Asia between China and Taiwan and the possibility of nuclear-related conflict.

However, this conflict could be at risk of escalating since the US announced it would increase its support for Taiwan…

And they even approved a $6.5 billion bill to support the country’s defense against China.

Nostradamus also stated a light will fall on Mars which will open up newer possibilities…

Like, for example, humans end up visiting the fourth planet from the sun.

And that’s not all…

He also said a religious leader will step down by 2023, with a rather menacing leader taking his place, as per reports.

And you have to take a look at what he wrote…

“In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will be Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End.”

But he also predicted that a “celestial fire on the Royal edifice” will change the whole world and simply be the end of time.

With this being said, he revealed there will be a “new world order,” which will see the alliance of two powers, potentially a man and woman coming together.

But it won’t last long.

Since then, the medieval mystic has predicted Prince Harry’s future…

  via Shutterstock

And you definitely don’t want to miss this!

Apparently, the mystic read claims of Queen Elizabeth II’s death in a poem written more than 450 years ago…

  via Shutterstock

“The preamble is that Queen Elizabeth II will die, circa 2022, at the age of around 96, five years short of her mother’s term of life,” the book read.

Also predicting that much of the Commonwealth would break away during King Charles’ reign…

He also mentioned “King of the Islands” in reference to the British Isles.

“Prince Charles will be 74 years old in 2022 when he takes over the throne,” it carried on.

He claimed to have predicted the future King’s divorce from his first wife, Princess Diana too.

“But the resentments held against him by a certain proportion of the British population, following his divorce from Diana, Princess of Wales, still persist.”

But what’s spooky is the fact he predicted someone else will succeed on the throne, and it’s not Prince William…

And people have started to assume other things.

“Does that mean that Prince William, who would have expected to succeed his father, is no longer in the picture?” the writer asked.

  via Getty Images

“Prince Harry, by process of default, becomes king in his stead? That would make him King Henry IX, aged just 38,” he continued.

According to The Sun, the bizarre claims were interpreted from one of the mystic poems…

Which revealed that King Charles would abdicate and give the throne to his youngest son, Harry.

Well, what do you think?
