Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus Announces He’s Battling Cancer

Mark Hoppus, who is well known for being the bassist and vocalist of rock band Blink-182, has sadly been diagnosed with cancer.

He opened up about his diagnosis on social media yesterday…

He admitted to feeling scared, but is trying to remain positive despite the difficult months ahead.

“For the past 3 months I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.”

“It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time, I’m blessed with incredible doctors and friends to get me through this,” he wrote.
“I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I’m trying to remain hopeful and positive. Can’t wait to be cancer-free and see you all at a concert in the near future. Love to you all.”

He hasn’t gone into detail about the type or stage of cancer he has but is hopeful of becoming cancer-free…

And the musician has since been flooded with support from fans all over the world.

Even before his post, fans suspected something wasn’t quite right when he posted a photo to Instagram…

He captioned the post, “One cancer treatment please.”

Mark soon deleted the picture, but that wasn’t before rumors on his health began circulating…
