After a group of people on a boat were seen harassing a nearby group for flying LGBTQ+ flags ahead of pride month, their boat ironically burst into flames...
But the incident had a shocking twist...
Of course, people have been left shocked by the alarming footage...
Ultimate KARMA delivery: They blew up and lost their boat and everything in it, they had no insurance coverage, and they get billed for lake cleanup!— gRANTwriter (@jrzgrlz) June 2, 2021

You're better human than me.— Sergio Flores | BLM | Social Distancing NOW (@_SergioFlores) June 2, 2021
I'd have left them there. I'd be like "sorry! This boat is too gay! Start swimming to shore!"
I can't believe they actually swam to your boat. And the fact that you saved them? You're better people than me. I would have let them get close and then sped away so they got sprayed.— FullyVaccinatedAgainstTheGOP🏳️🌈 (@Emily10451325) June 2, 2021
You are better people than they are. You fly your flags proudly!— Jim Craig (@JCC_Starguy) June 2, 2021
Now, as we're all aware, pride month is upon us...
And millions from all around the world have already been kicking off their celebrations to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
This includes TikTok user @uhohbigboi...
Who was out sailing their boat on Moses Lake in Washington state with their family over the weekend.
The family was proudly flying LGBTQ+ flags from their vessel...
But sadly, this attracted some very negative attention.
The passenger on the pride boat told BuzzFeed News that he was on the vessel near Blue Heron Park with his girlfriend, his brother, and his brother's partner flying multiple LGBTQ and transgender rights flags.
They then heard the other boat approaching and saw a woman on that vessel flip them off with her middle finger, said the passenger, who asked to be identified by his nickname, Robbie, to protect his family's privacy.
"Then the boat quickly made a sharp turn back towards us and went around us. I then again personally heard someone shout what I thought to be the word 'gays' so I asked my brother to pull out his phone and blatantly start recording in hopes that it would avoid conflict if they noticed."
The video was later uploaded to both Twitter and TikTok where they were quick to go viral.
The boat drove around them 6 or 7 times, causing extensive waves, according to Robbie.
But then... "They then attempted to speed away as they left a large cloud of smoke surrounding the area we occupied. After a moment, we heard a loud backfire and a sputter come from the boat. Though I could not see the boat, in the direction, I could see a cloud of black smoke rising quickly."
Things then went from bad to worse.
"The driver, possibly embarrassed, then rushed to start the vehicle again... Another few moments pass and we hear an incredibly loud explosion come from the direction they were headed," Robbie explained.
"Our driver shouted, 'Holy crap! They blew up!'"
The boat was suddenly engulfed in flames...
Resulting in Robbie's harrassers jumping overboard and attempting to swim to safety.
But amazingly so, Robbie's boat went to the aid of the stricken vessel...
These people harassed my family because we were flying gay pride flags in Moses Lake Washington, by racing around us and shouting gay slurs. Then, their boat literally blew up! #KarmaIsReal pic.twitter.com/cN7L74pHS6— 🏳️⚧️ℂ𝕠𝕤𝕞𝕚𝕔 ℝ𝕠𝕓𝕓𝕚𝕖⭐ (@retro_ushi_) May 31, 2021
And they kindly rescued the passengers from the water, despite how they had behaved just moments earlier.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office confirmed to BuzzFeed News that the boat fire had occurred on Sunday evening around 7:45 pm local time.
Sheriff Tom Jones said deputies and the local fire department responded to the scene, where they extinguished the flames and towed the scorched boat to shore.
Jones said they do not yet know what caused the fire, but that deputies on scene were told it came from the engine compartment in the middle of the boat.
"The passengers from the boat that caught fire swam and boarded the boat they were circling," said Jones.
"Our agency has reached out to the boat owner with the gay pride flag to gather further information to determine a crime was committed. To this hour, we have not heard from them."
The doomed boat owner and one other passenger received burns but refused medical treatment, he said...
And the sheriff's office could not immediately confirm that the boaters had been harassing the other vessel, but said they are now investigating the incident.
"As of right now, we are trying to make contact with the occupants of the vessel being circled so we can interview them to find out what happened," they said in a statement, "We would like to know more, and once we can interview people, we will be able to know more without relying solely on a brief video."
