In November of last year the tragic news was announced that Bobby Brown Jr, the son of R&B singer, Bobby Brown, tragically passed away just 5 years after the death of his half-sister, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
And now, his cause of death has been confirmed...
He was just twenty-eight-years-old.
Very quickly, the messages of condolences began to flood in...
Now, this news is utterly devastating.
His death comes just 5 years after the passing of his half-sister, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
In January 2015, Bobbi was found face down in the bathtub in her Georgia home – eerily echoing the death of her mother, Whitney Houston, 3 years earlier.
The twenty-two-year-old was placed into a medically induced coma.
But, unfortunately, doctors couldn’t revive her, and she passed away in hospice care 2 years later in June 2015.
And her ex-partner, Nick Gordon, also died at the start of this year.
In the early hours of January 1st, Gordon died after suffering a series of heart attacks, presumably as a result of drug intake.
So, of course, Bobby Jr's death has come as a real blow.
Landon Brown, who is the eldest son of Bobby Sr., confirmed his brother's death in an Instagram post captioned: "I love you forever King."
TMZ was the first to report the news...
But a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson has since told E! News that authorities responded to a report of a medical emergency on Wednesday, November 18th.
Upon arriving on the scene, the department discovered a dead body...
But they were unable to disclose the identity of the deceased.
And now, his cause of death has been confirmed.TMZ reports.
Despite this, the Brown family said they will let authorities conduct an investigation into his death.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ they were conducting a toxicology test.
The L.A. County Medical Examiner's Office has now released its findings, according to TMZ.
With the autopsy finding a fatal combination of alcohol, cocaine and fentanyl in his system.
