Bridgerton is the Netflix series everyone is talking about, and it looks like the show's creator is planning on keeping it around for quite some time.

It was certainly responsible for an influx of new subscribers.

Many people signed up to the platform to watch the hit show, which follows Piper Chapman as she is sentenced to spend time in a minimum-security women’s prison in Connecticut for transporting drug money 10 years earlier.

In more recent years, Netflix has been responsible for several other major hits.

And now, the show's creator has said he would "love" it to run for 8 seasons...

Speaking to Collider, he said: "I feel like the first season was primarily about Daphne and her love story with Simon. "But, this being a family of eight children and there being 8 books, I would love to be able to focus and really tell stories and love stories for all the Bridgerton siblings. For each character, for sure."

He was asked if that means he would like 8 seasons...
