Brooklyn Beckham was asked what he does for a living after being spotted driving around in a $1.2 million McLaren and his response has been the center of a huge online debate.
Over the years he’s been a model, a photographer, and even brought his own book out…
But when the star seemingly suggested that he could afford his incredibly pricey car because of his career as a chef, the internet took up arms.

Now, Brooklyn Beckham was thrust into the spotlight at a very young age…
With his Dad being David Beckham, one of the most famous soccer stars in the world, and his mom being former Spice Girl turned fashion mogul, Victoria Beckham, it’s hardly surprising that Brooklyn has found fame.
Brooklyn is the oldest of the Beckham’s 4 children…
Followed by nineteen-year-old Romeo, seventeen-year-old Cruz, and 10-year-old Harper.
David introduced Brooklyn to football when he was young, hoping the athletic genes would rub off on his son…
But it seemed that living up to his dad’s reputation became too much of a burden for the young star, so he decided to pursue his passion for photography instead.
He took a liking to the arts and decided to study at Parsons School of Design.
The star enrolled in a 4-year art and photography course back in September 2017 at the exclusive school.
He regularly posts his photos to Instagram…
And just like his parents, he keeps fans regularly updated on his antics.
He’s also got a reputation of being a lady’s man…
And has had a constant stream of girlfriends and potential love interests on and off throughout his teens and early adulthood.
One being Chloë Grace Moretz…
After reportedly meeting at a spinning class, then fifteen-year-old Brooklyn and seventeen-year-old Chloë were first pictured together when they went skateboarding in Santa Monica.
The pair seemed to be pretty infatuated…
However, Brooklyn was pictured kissing the Playboy model, Lexi Wood, just a month after being seen out and about and seemingly in love with Chloe. Not your best move, Brooklyn…
Sadly, they didn’t hit it off…
Which left Brooklyn well and truly back on the market.
But he obviously wasn’t going to stay single for very long.
He also had quite a publicized relationship with the model, Hanna Cross — the pair were together for 9 months but had had several high-profile arguments before their split.
But it wasn’t long before he found lasting love…
This time with model and actress, Nicola Peltz.
The pair were first spotted together at a Halloween party in October 2019…
And their relationship has blossomed ever since.
They went Instagram official back in January 2020…
It’s always a big deal when a relationship makes it to Instagram, let’s be honest.
And their relationship got serious pretty quickly.
Shortly after, Nicola called him her “soulmate.”
The star is constantly uploading loved-up snaps with the model.
They really are adorable together.
And it seems to have only made them a stronger couple, as not long after, they had an exciting announcement.
They got engaged!
The pair announced the happy news on both of their Instagram pages…

Announcing the news, Brooklyn wrote…
“2 weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day ❤️ I love you baby xx.”
Nicola also posted about the happy moment, writing…
“You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. Your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby and thank you harper for this pic.”
Brooklyn’s mom Victoria also shared her best wishes…
She wished the happy couple all the best, saying she “couldn’t be happier,” for them. “The MOST exciting news!! We could not be happier that @brooklynbeckham and @nicolaannepeltz are getting married! Wishing you so much love and a lifetime of happiness ?? We all love you both so much x @davidbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven ?”
And now, almost 2 years after their engagement, the pair have finally tied the knot…
They married on Saturday in Palm Beach, Florida, at Peltz’s family estate.
Peltz’s parents, billionaire entrepreneur Nelson Peltz and model Claudia Heffner were in attendance…
As were Victoria and David Beckham.
Back in November 2021, Brooklyn explained: “If COVID wasn’t a thing we’d have liked to have been married already, and it has been a bit difficult,” he told Hello!.
They both shared photos of the big day on their Instagram accounts.
But one thing that has got everyone talking is the name change on Brooklyn’s Instagram account…
He appears to have changed his Instagram handle to @brooklynpeltzbeckham.
He also confirmed his name change in a post, writing in the caption: “Mr. & Mrs. Peltz Beckham.”
It appears the pair have opted for a double-barrel surname.
Since the big day, it seems Brooklyn’s mom Victoria Beckham, and Peltz aren’t on the best of terms.
An insider told Page Six: “They can’t stand each other and don’t talk. The build-up to the wedding was horrendous.”
They also revealed that Peltz didn’t want Victoria to have anything to do with the wedding.
Adding: “She wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal.”
Since the wedding, there has been “non-stop petty drama” between the newlyweds and Victoria.
“They haven’t spoken to him much in the last few months,” the source said.
Ouch!
But the couple has now opened up about the so-called ‘feud’…

A source told Page Six that there’s more to the rumors than just the tension between the doting mom-in-law and Nicola…
Apparently, Victoria and Nicola are “just collateral damage,” as according to the source it was not just about two women but “two families coming together.”

The source said that due to the Beckhams being “quite old-fashioned” they believe everyone should make their “own way up in the world.”

Speaking to Variety, Brooklyn said that the highlight of the wedding was when he saw his bride…
And it’s probably the cutest thing you’ll read today.
“The highlight of the whole wedding for me was seeing her for the first time in that dress… It was the first time ever in my life when I felt like I couldn’t catch my breath,” he said.
As well as that, Nicola said that rumors of bad blood between her and mother-in-law Victoria initially started when it was reported that she could wear a dress designed by Victoria, but she chose not to…
“I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress. She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, ” she said.
She later revealed that the media sometimes exaggerates “a thing or two” to stir the pot to create controversies.
“Brooklyn grew up in the spotlight and knows a thing or two about the tabloids. I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down,” she added.
And it’s Brooklyn’s comment that has won us over…
“But everyone gets along, which is good,” as he spoke candidly about no bad blood being present between the 2 families.
Now, since the rumors have been put to bed, Brooklyn has hit the headlines for another reason entirely.
He recently got asked on TikTok what he does for a living, and his answer left everyone confused.
It seems as though the 23-year-old no longer considers himself a model or a photographer, which he has worked as previously.
But no one was expecting what he said.
He was asked the question by TikToker Daniel Mac on August 15, who walked up to Brooklyn in his McLaren P1, which costs around $1.2 million.
Fans quickly rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts on his answer.
“‘What do you do for a living?’ ‘my parents are rich so I just kinda vibe,'” one mocked.
While another said: “Brooklyn has a different career every other year.”
Revealing his new career after being asked what he does for a living, Brooklyn said: “I’m a chef.”
In response, one TikTok user wrote: “Chef, the guy has never worked a shift in a restaurant in his life.”
Another even took things one step further, and checked out Brooklyn’s page, writing: “Went to this ‘chef’s’ TikTok page and he has one video making pasta sauce from a jar.”
While many ridiculed him for his answer, Brooklyn has spoken about his passion for cooking in the past, telling Variety it’s a hobby he would “literally die for.”
He added: “I found what I absolutely love to do a little later in my life, but I absolutely love it.”
