Caitlyn Jenner has opened up about her family life and why all her kids still call her “dad” despite transitioning to a woman.
Now, not a day goes by when the Kardashian / Jenner clan aren’t in the spotlight…
They’re arguably one of the most famous families out there right now.
And with the new series of The Kardashians coming out, the family has taken center stage.
This time, their kids are a little older, and a lot more involved.
Kourtney Kardashian is known to have been straying away from the limelight in recent years.
In 2020 after KUWTK‘s Season 18, Kourtney revealed that she would be taking a step back from the show after constant fights with her sisters, Kim and Khloe.
She even responded to a fan telling her to “quit the damn show” on March 26 following the season premiere, she tweeted: “I did. Bye.”
Despite this, it seems she’s back in the latest season with Hulu, which began shooting late last year.
In this season of The Kardashians, fans get an inside look into Kim’s divorce from Kanye West and her newfound romance with Pete Davidson.
We see Khloe trying to patch things up with Tristan Thompson once again, while Kylie navigates her second pregnancy.
And let’s not forget, we get to see Kourtney’s relationship with Travis Barker blossom.
All eyes have been on Kourtney and Travis as they navigate their romance.
In the episodes so far, we have seen more details shared about the moment that Travis Barker asked Kourtney’s parents for permission to marry her.
According to People, in one episode, the show filmed Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner discussing the phone call in which Travis asked Kris for permission.
Speaking with Kim ahead of Kim’s Saturday Night Live debut, Kris said: “He asked for her hand in marriage, and I was like, literally, I want to cry now.”
Kris described the moment as “so sweet and so tender.”
She then revealed that Travis visited Kourtney’s father, Robert Kardashian’s grave to also ask for his permission.
“And then he said he went to your dad’s grave and asked your dad [for permission], and I just lost it,” Kris told Kim.
“It’s all happy, I just wish your dad was here to see it. I can hardly believe that it’s the first time that she’s getting married.”
One episode also revealed that the twelve-carat diamond ring, worth a whopping $1 million, that Travis proposed with had to be repaired…
Just days after Travis got down on one knee.
The episode showed Kris visiting Kourtney after the engagement where she asks her about the ring…
“Oh my gosh, can you believe you’re engaged!” she exclaimed in the scene, before asking: “Where’s the ring?”
Kourtney then revealed that she had accidentally stepped on her ring while in her closet and that she had “a nervous breakdown” after realizing she’d broken it.
“I’m covering it because it’s actually getting fixed,” Kourtney explained to her mom, with her sleeves covering her hands. “This is probably one of the worst things I’ve ever done in my whole life, by the way.”
“I was sitting on my floor folding sweatshirts and I took the ring off and I put it next to me on the floor thinking it’d be safe right next to me,” Kourtney shared.
“I had to get something up above in my closet, and when I stepped down I stepped on the ring.”
Totally surprised by her daughter’s answer, Kris responded: “You broke your engagement ring?”
“I was hysterically crying in my closet for, like, hours,” Kourtney added. “Then I called Travis, I was like: ‘I did something really, really bad’ and he handled it the best, but it really gave me a nervous breakdown.”
“This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever had in my life, how could I have done that?”
Fortunately, it seems that the broken engagement ring didn’t stop the pair with their plans for marriage as just months after their engagement…
Kourtney and Travis tied the knot for real.
Last month, Kourtney and Travis exchanged vows in a wedding chapel in Las Vegas in front of Elvis.
The pair shared pictures online, however, it was revealed that they weren’t actually married as there was no license.
However, Kourtney and Travis then went on to exchange for real!
And fans were thrilled about it…
“I’m happy for Kourtney. I remember how Kourtney wasn’t into weddings back then. Now… She finally found her man!” one person wrote on Twitter.
While another added: “Congratulations to Kourtney and Travis much love to both of you.”
The couple married in Santa Barbara, according to TMZ.
According to the outlet, Kourtney and Travis exchanged vows on the steps of the downtown courthouse.
The outlet reports that only a few guests, including bodyguards, were present for the vows.
Before they left driving a black convertible with a sign taped to the back that read: “Just married.”
TMZ also reports that although married, Kourtney and Travis were having a wedding ceremony in Italy.
“They had to legally get married first ahead of their big Italian wedding, which is happening very soon,” a source told People. “All the details are set and the whole family, including all the kids, are very excited.”
And then came the big day we’ve all been waiting for.
The pair were spotted surrounded by friends and family in Portofino, Italy on Sunday.
The mom of three wore a white mini dress with a long veil.
While Travis dressed in an all-black tux.
It turns out fans weren’t all that keen on Kourtney’s dresses…
Some have labeled Kourtney the “ugliest dressed” Kardashian sister.
Fans on social media have shared their thoughts on the dress, with one Twitter user writing: “How Kourtney Kardashian insists on being the most natural beautiful sister and also the ugliest dressed is beyond me!!!”
Another added: “Kourtney Kardashian’s veil is 10/10 but… that dress. I, I simply require her to be placed in prison immediately.”
“I don’t care what anyone says, this is the worst Kourtney Kardashian has looked in all these years,” a third added.
A fourth replied: “Not a fan of the dress. It looks like what you wear under your wedding dress.”
And a lot of fans online have also hated on Kourtney’s “gothic” pre-wedding dress…
One wrote: “What is he a gothic priest and she’s a gothic Mary? She’s completely changed her style and it’s horrendous. She looks greasy and, dark. She also shouldn’t be wearing the Virgin Mary on her.”
Another wrote: “Poor thing. Everything is wrong with this lady. She’s broken and doesn’t know this yet. Shhhhh please don’t tell her. She’ll wake up. Eventually…”
But her dress isn’t the only thing people have been talking about online.
The fact that Caitlyn Jenner wasn’t anywhere to be seen at the event also sparked a conversation.
And it turns out she wasn’t invited.
One Twitter user commented: “That seems a little mean to not invite someone who was her father-figure and they say still have a relationship.”
Another said: “That’s rough for Caitlyn but it’s Kourt’s wedding she must do what she feels she wants.”
“So Kourtney can’t invite Caitlyn but can invite Kanye who is Kim’s ex? (Even tho Ye obv wasn’t there he was still invited) and her wedding was everything BUT intimate,” a third wrote.
Despite many feeling there must be bad blood between the two, that couldn’t be further from the truth according to TMZ sources.
The pair are allegedly on good terms, but as Kourtney hasn’t been in regular conversation with Caitlyn she decided not to invite her.
Especially when the event was only for close family and friends.
But it seems Caitlyn wasn’t all that bothered, as she was busy watching racing driver Jamie Chadwick in Barcelona win gold.
She tweeted a photo of the star, along with the caption: “Win! Win! Win! No matter what!”
So it looks like there are no hard feelings.
Since then, a clip has resurfaced of Caitlyn Jenner in Australia for the British TV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
In the video, Caitlyn opens up to the other celebrities, sharing that even though she identifies as a woman, her kids still call her dad.
“My kids all call me Dad,” she explained. “Kendall asked me first and I said ‘Dad,’ I’m your dad and I’ll always be your dad till the day I die.
“But what they’re really good at which shocks me all the time is when they’re talking about me, ‘My dad she … ‘ and it’s tough to change the pronoun in the middle of it,” she added.
However, Caitlyn doesn’t appear to be upset by this, adding: “Bruce raised them, and Caitlyn is enjoying their life with them.”
She also revealed that her grandchildren call her “Boom Boom,” because “It kind of stuck. It was easy for them to say.”
