Cameron Diaz Comes Out of Retirement for Netflix Film With Jamie Foxx

It’s official! Cameron Diaz ends her 8-year Hollywood retirement to shoot a promising Netflix film, titled Back In Action.

8 years ago Diaz decided to step away from the glitzy glamour of Hollywood to retire.

It was only when she slipped away from limelight that fans noticed.

According to reports, Diaz said: “[I] decided to quit acting,” so she could “really focus on her personal life…”

“I just looked around and there were so many parts of my life that I wasn’t touching and that I wasn’t managing, and I couldn’t really manage, because everything was so massive,” said the 49-year-old actress.

But Jamie Foxx couldn’t contain his excitement when he posted a recorded phone call with Diaz on Twitter confirming the actresses’ comeback…

The actor wrote: “Cameron I hope you aren’t mad I recorded this, but no turning back now. Had to call in the GOAT to bring back another GOAT. @CameronDiaz and I are BACK IN ACTION – our new movie with @NetflixFilm. Production starting later this year!!”

Diaz, known for her beloved roles in ShrekCharlie’s Angels, The Holiday and There’s Something About Mary, revealed she “can’t frickin wait,” to shoot for her next role…

Taking to her Instagram page, the actress confirmed her comeback to the sliver screen writing: “Jamie Foxx, only you could get me back in action!!! I can’t frickin wait it’s gonna be a blast!”

Seth Gordon, who will be directing Back In Action revealed that he wrote the movie’s script with Brendan O’Brien…

Although, the plot of the movie still remains under wraps, according to reports in Variety, the shooting is expected to begin later this year.

The movie will also star Tom Brady, who gave advice to Cameron, saying he’s “relatively successful at unretiring…”

While Foxx is producing the movie with Datari Turner, O’Brien, and Mark McNair, Diaz said she’s quite “nervous” about making a comeback!
