This is not only shocking, but it is also terrifying.

Here's what we know, including what has happened to the alleged rioter since...

Following the horrific scenes at the U.S Capitol building on January 6th, hundreds of arrests have been made...

And the people who were involved and contributed towards the violence are now well and truly paying the price.

Nobody is getting away with what they did...

Even though some have gone to extreme lengths to cover their tracks.

So much so...

That one of the rioters allegedly threatened his own children with something terrifying in order for them to not "snitch" on him.

This is truly shocking...

Now, where do we even start when it comes to the Capitol Hill riot?

Getty

It all started on January 6th when President Donald Trump held a "Save America" rally in Washington D.C, just a few miles away from the White House.

Thousands of his eager supporters were there listening to and latching on to every word that came out of Trump's mouth.

Trump's refusal to concede to the winner of the 2020 election, Joe Biden, seems to have fuelled the anger amongst his supporters...

And right now, the overwhelming presence of far-right extremists is more apparent than ever.

The president repeatedly told his crowd that he was "the real winner" and how they need to "take the election back"...

Before finally telling them to "go down to the Capitol building" and "fight like hell for our country."

He even said he'd be there alongside them which, of course, he didn't mean literally.

This resulted in thousands of his supporters, all armed with MAGA merchandise and Trump flags, storming down to the U.S Capitol building and breaking in...

Where hell was well and truly unleashed.

A joint session of Congress was underway to certify Joe Biden's election win when the rioters made their way into the building.

Thankfully, all members of the House and staff were safely evacuated but this didn't mean things were over.

People began smashing down windows and doors, looting valuable items, and even breaking into Nancy Pelosi's office and taking some of her personal possessions.

And to make things even more terrifying...

Text messages were later discovered from one of the rioters describing his plans to "shoot and run over" Pelosi.

Thankfully, these terrible plans didn't go ahead - but it just goes to show the alarming ideologies and ambitions held by many of the people present on that day.

5 people tragically died as a result of the riots...

Getty

And more than sixty police officers and security guards were greatly injured from trying to stop the violent rioters and get them out of the building.

The scenes were truly apocalyptic...

Getty

And President Trump was called on again and again to issue a televised statement telling his supporters to put an end to the violence.

In the end, he issued a series of small tweets where he reminded the rioters that the police and law enforcement were "on our side," and to "remain peaceful," all while refusing to take any responsibility for the violence.

The president's reluctance to take responsibility soon lead to him being suspended indefinitely from all major social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram...

Of course, we all know how much Trump loved to run his mouth on Twitter, so this was a huge deal.

Things just seemed to be getting worse and worse for Trump...

Getty

And Congress was having some serious talks about what to do about his lack of concern over the violence caused by his army of followers.

It didn't take long for Pelosi to prepare a vote to impeach Trump for the second time in his first presidential term...

Getty

And on the afternoon of January 13th, President Trump was officially impeached, making him the only president in U.S history to be impeached more than once.

Trump's fate is currently unknown...

But the fate of his extremist supporters is certainly known at the moment, and they're not getting away lightly with the violence and disruption that they caused.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, more than 125 people have been arrested in connection to the Capitol siege...

And the FBI has been opening hundreds of case files in regards to the violence and illegal acts that happened on that day.

Nobody has been getting away lightly, regardless of their financial status...

But it seems that some of the rioters have been taking extreme measures in order to not be caught and prosecuted.

And one rioter from Texas stooped to the very lowest a father can stoop in order to save his own back.

TMZ has obtained information that Guy Reffitt threatened his own children in order to not be "snitched on" to the feds.

FBI special agent Thomas said Reffitt was seen in restricted areas of the Capitol during the riots...

And according to his wife, he told his son and daughter: "If you turn me in, you're a traitor and you know what happens to traitors ... traitors get shot."

Reffitt's alleged threats didn't stop there, according to the feds...

He also told his daughter that he would "put a bullet" through her phone if she told friends that her dad was at the Capitol.

His wife disclosed to the FBI that he was a member of a right-wing militia group, The Three Percenters, adding she didn't believe he would follow through with his alleged threats and was more disturbed by his extreme rhetoric.

Thankfully for his family, Reffitt was soon arrested and is standing accused of unlawful entry and obstruction of justice.

The alleged threats were truly shocking to hear.

We hope his family will be safe from his threats now he has been arrested.
