It turns out that there's a little more to Carole Baskin than initially met the eye.

The Big Cat Rescue owner - and the arch-nemesis of Joe Exotic - has recently given us a rare glimpse into her personal life.

And, let's just say, she didn't hold back with the details.

In the revealing interview, Baskin opened up about her sexuality and gave an in-depth discussion about her sexual history. Yep, there's something I didn't think I'd be writing on a Tuesday morning.

Now, this revelation has come as a shock to many people...

Because there's only one thing Carole Baskin is really known for.

For starters, Tiger King outlined Carole's involvement with her ex-husband, Don Lewis' sudden and mysterious disappearance.

So, what are the facts? Well, on the morning of August 18, 1997, Carole's millionaire husband, Don vanished at the age of sixty. His car was later found at a nearby airport.

The self-made millionaire had helped Carole transform their forty acres of Florida land into the animal sanctuary it is today.

Some of Don's relatives speculated that Carole was involved in his disappearance.

Rumors quickly began circulating that she murdered him and fed him to the tigers...

In fact, this claim was made by the oldest of Don's 4 children, Donna Pettis, then forty-two, back in 1998. She claimed that Carole feeding his body to the big cats would be “a perfect scenario to dispose of someone. We were upset that the cops didn’t test the DNA on the meat grinder."

It was reported that, 2 months before he went missing, Don tried to take out a restraining order against Carole, claiming she’d threatened to shoot him.

He was not granted the order. Carole has repeatedly protested her innocence, and says that any claims made that she fed her husband to the big cats are "ludicrous."

But, 5 years after Don went missing, Carole had him legally declared dead...

And to this day, nobody has been charged with anything to do with his disappearance.

Don's disappearance is still an active cold case...

And the Hillsborough County Sheriff, Chad Chronister, wants Tiger King fans to help crack it. "I figured it was time to use the popularity of the show to see if anyone wanted to come forward with new leads."

Carole and her current husband, Howard, have been subjected to constant abuse online.

Speaking to the New York Post, she said: "He’s [Joe Exotic] been trying, since 2009, to get his minions to kill me. He was constantly going on his internet show, saying that he has to get rid of me. It was very disturbing. The kinds of people who back up what he does are not stable people. It would be one thing if he went out to mainstream America. But he was going out to a group of whack-jobs."

And when the reality star turned lawyer, Kim Kardashian. tweeted about the ordeal...

More and more people wanted to hear Carole's "confession" about the whole meat grinder rumor.

She has characterized such talk as the "most ludicrous of all the lies."

Pointing out in a blog post that her tigers eat meat broken down into 1-inch cubes before being ground in her tabletop meat grinder, she said: "The idea that a human body could be put through it is idiotic."

Even though Carole's comments seemed to be legit...

People are still convinced that she was behind the murder of Don Lewis.

However, despite the constant rumors, Carole has embraced her new-found Tiger King fame.

She is now a regular face on Cameo, where fans pay her for personalized messages, and she even enjoyed a brief stint on ABC's Dancing With The Stars.

But now, Carole has decided to set the record straight with one detail of her life that hasn't been touched upon...

And that's her sexuality.

The Big Cat Rescue owner recently sat down with Pink News to discuss the more private aspects of her life...

And, in doing so, she revealed that she is, in fact, bisexual.

She explained that she had started exploring her sexuality in the 1980s...

When she was engaged to a psychologist who was working with patients in the LGBTQ community who had been affected by the HIV crisis. "It was during the ’80s that I discovered that through dealing with the LGBT+ community that I [realized] I had just as equal feelings for women as I did for men," Carole explained.

Carole has never actually engaged in a long term relationship with a woman...

But she still considers herself as bisexual. "I have always considered myself to be bisexual. Even though I’ve never had a wife, I could just as easily have a wife as a husband."

She added that she sees all humans as equal, regardless of gender.

"As far as the way I feel about us, I think we are all one and I just don’t see us as being different genders or different colors or anything."
