Netflix's latest true crime documentary, The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel, has shaken the internet - and now it's been announced the hotel plans to reopen soon...
Here's the full story.
The documentary had us all feeling shook.
But this behind the scenes news might be even crazier ...
There have been some pretty crazy Netflix documentaries over the years.
But the latest true-crime drop was a little different.
This one might have had a hint of the paranormal about it ...
It's extremely spooky.
And a case any true crime lover will already be well versed in.
It features the bizarre case of Elisa Lam.
The footage of her moments before her death still gives us goosebumps!
And it seems many were eagerly awaiting the doc to drop.
I cannot wait for the Netflix documentary about the Cecil hotel!

Now, there's a good reason why the story creeps people out...
In the span of 10 years, at least 80 people died at The Cecil Hotel.

Missing persons, overdoses, and murders happened over and over — but why? Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel is now streaming pic.twitter.com/EDEBBXChbL
From the director that brought us Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, the series takes a look behind the scenes at the infamous Cecil Hotel and the haunting stories that lace the halls.
As most already know, the Cecil Hotel was the place of a number of suicides between the 1930s-1960s.
Not only that, but serial killer Richard Ramirez, who was featured on the Netflix documentary Night Stalker, stayed at the hotel for several weeks allegedly making it his home while he carried out some of his many murders.
However, The Vanishing At The Cecil Hotel focuses solely on one of its most haunting mysteries...
Each of the 4 fifty-minute episodes delves deeper into the events that lead up to Elisa Lam's disappearance.
The footage of her behaving erratically in the lead-up to her death has been watched by millions...
#VanishingAtTheCecilHotel (S01E01): Still a very eerie case, and I’m aware that her death was ruled accidental drowning. Yet, something has always felt off about the elevator video. This first ep. is genuinely chilling and I loved learning more about Skid Row in LA. pic.twitter.com/8CsSpvzGGx

It quickly Ignited a media frenzy, with many amateur sleuths wanting to get in on the case.
But it was when Elisa was found dead that things started to get a little more spooky...
But to make things even weirder ...
The hotel has announced plans to reopen in October 2021!
We certainly won't be booking a room just yet.
