It's safe to say that technology has made cheating far more difficult. There seems to be no end to the blunders that can occur when trying to partake in an illicit relationship in the era of smartphones. But one woman's detective skills have the internet seriously impressed this week ...

Kayla Paeth, twenty-six, who lives near Chicago, discovered her man was being unfaithful thanks to some incredibly closely detailed clues in a Snapchat exchange. Can you spot them?

Her guy sent her a picture of a stovetop with food cooking. But a closer look revealed to the amateur sleuth that there was more to the image than initially met the eye ...

Gots to do better my guy lmao #fyp

"Gets a [Snapchat photo] from the man I'm talking to..." she wrote across the image that he sent her. But then, she zooms in and circles a reflection in the stove. "Acrylic nails, bracelets, a rose gold Apple watch, and a ring," she spots. "Gots [sic] to do better my guy lmao," she wrote in the caption of the video.

The video quickly received a lot of attention, with over 1 million views at the time of writing. People could not believe she'd managed to crack the code!

"We're literally better than the FBI I swearrrrrrr. I hope you're ok!!" wrote one user.

Another felt for the other girl in the situation. "Please let the girl in the photo know. I would be so upset if I cooked for a man and he sent a photo to someone else," wrote another TikToker.

A third thought the man had even more crimes to answer for. "Not enough burners on that stove. You had a lucky escape," they joked. "The red flag is the fact he's cooking dinner after 10 pm," another pointed out.

However, others thought Kayla might be jumping the gun. "Girl that could be a friend, sister, cousin, aunt, mom - anything!" one forgiving commenter suggested. "What's wrong with that? The ring and watch could just be an accessory he likes, plus the nails are his choice!" another theorized.

Others had a different theory. "Wait, I'm confused. Is the girl pretending to be him?" questioned one. "She was getting catfished by a female. Simple." another confirmed.

What do you make of the mysterious snap?
