Chris Pratt has been in Twitter's firing line this week but, thankfully for him, his Marvel co-stars are here to help...
Chris Pratt has faced some online heat this week. After a controversial Instagram post, the actor was slammed by fans and was ultimately labeled as "the worst Chris in Hollywood" in a bizarre Twitter trend.
But thankfully for Pratt...He has a major support bubble.
A whole range of Marvel actors have recently come forward to defend their friend...And it's probably the sweetest thing you'll see today.
Now, Chris Pratt has certainly had an interesting life.Born in Minnesota, Pratt dropped out of community college in 1998 and ended up living out of the back of a van in Maui, Hawaii as a teenager.
But it wasn't until he started working in a shrimp restaurant that he was truly discovered. The star has a true "rags to riches" story - taking him from an essentially homeless beach restaurant waiter to one of the most famous stars of Hollywood today.
He has an impressive range of acting credits under his belt...But it all started with his portrayal of the loveable loser, Andy, on Parks & Recreation.
Since then, he's become a veritable leading man.Starring in action blockbusters such as Jurassic World.
But the star doesn't stick to one role. He's also known for voicing Emmet Brickowski in The Lego Movie franchise, and, of course, playing Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
Pratt is also famous for another reason...
via: GettyHe had a fairly high profile relationship with fellow Hollywood star, Anna Faris. The pair met while playing love interests in the 2007 movie, Take Me Home Tonight, and clearly, sparks flew, as they were married 2 years later in Bali, Indonesia in July 2009.
Faris and Pratt also share a son.
via: GettyJack Pratt was born prematurely in August 2012. He suffered many health difficulties after his birth, but seems to be doing great now - he's pictured here in 2017 at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
But their happiness couldn't last forever.
In August 2017, Pratt took to Twitter to announce his and Faris's decision to separate. In December of the same year, the couple filed for divorce, which was finalized in October 2018.

The internet was devastated, to say the least.Faris and Pratt were something of an internet couple favorite, often pictured laughing and being adorably weird with one another.
Soon after, many suspected that Pratt was in a new relationship.
Pratt's latest love is no stranger to the spotlight.
And, early last year, Pratt made a huge announcement.
Although not everyone was pleased.
Some believed that Pratt was moving on too soon after his divorce from Faris, and were concerned for her emotions following the news. It can't be nice to see your ex move on so quickly, right?

But nevertheless, on June 8th last year, the pair sealed the deal.
Although not everyone was feeling the love.
Many internet users commented on Pratt's regression from the cool, chilled out, regular guy that he was to the card-carrying Republican, strictly Christian, right-wing, and problematic individual that he may now be.

But this week, the star has been making headlines for a very different reason.Pratt has majorly ruffled some feathers following a controversial Instagram post.
So, what exactly was so bad?Well, amid the upcoming election, Pratt decided to try his hand at some comedy - and, as you've probably seen, it didn't go down so well.
It turns out that Chris Pratt wants you to vote... for his movie.Yep, Pratt took to Instagram less than twelve hours after Donald Trump tweeted his COVID-19 diagnosis, and joked about the election, writing: “With all that’s going on in the world, it is more important than ever that you vote. Just ask any celebrity. They will tell you. Every day. Several times a day. To vote. But me? I will tell you EXACTLY who to vote for."
He continued:"The heroes before us did not spill their blood only to have their sacrifices wasted by your apathy," he continued. “The upcoming 2020 People’s Choice Awards is the most consequential vote in the history of mankind times a million infinity. Vote for #Onward for family movie of the year. Or else. You WILL die. No hyperbole. Click the link in my bio. Let your voice be heard."
It didn't help that a Twitter challenge was trending at the time, prompting users to choose which Hollywood Chris "has to go."
People subsequently began laying into Pratt, accusing him of being a white supremacist, killing animals for fun, and being an extreme Christian.

Fans didn't hold back...
And it seems that there are quite a few people out there who don't like Pratt very much!

His Instagram post couldn't have come at a worse time...
And people felt that there are so many more pressing matters going on at the moment than the promotion of his new movie.

A presidential election is happening in under 2 weeks...But let's forget about that for now as Chris Pratt is starring in a new movie!
It hasn't painted the actor in a good light...
And there's no denying how some people have taken things way too far with the insults.

But thankfully for Pratt...Some of his Marvel co-stars decided to salvage the little reputation he has left.
Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn was the first to step in.
He defended Pratt's religious beliefs and explained how being a Christian doesn't mean he is homophobic. "So do ninety-eight percent of Christians, all Catholics, most Muslims & some Jews. I was a Catholic for years, hoping I could have a bigger impact working for gay rights from the inside. I eventually gave up. But it was a valid choice. & I applaud other non-bigots who do the same."

Robert Downy Jr. then stepped in.
And finally...The Hulk himself decided to reach out.
Taking to Twitter, Mark Ruffalo wrote:
"You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now."
