President Biden's inauguration ceremony has concluded and, in the aftermath, Twitter is a total minefield with people sharing their thoughts on the historic day...
The model and mom-of-3 has come under fire for her "tone-deaf" tweet regarding Biden's inauguration.
Has she finally gone too far?

Now, the suspense surrounding today has been building for months.
Since President Biden's election victory on November 7th, our country has experienced political tensions like never before.
Most people argue that Biden's win was a fair one...
After 4 long days of vote counting - and plenty of recounting - the Democrat was projected as the forty-sixth President of the United States.
However, people on the other side of the political spectrum didn't take his win so readily.

Trump instantly attacked Biden's win with several unproven accusations of electoral fraud - and, of course, his loyal supporters added fuel to the flames with gusto.
But his efforts were to little avail...
Because, today, Joe Biden was officially sworn is as the forty-sixth President of the United States.
Of course, Trump didn't attend the inauguration.
He confirmed his absence in a tweet earlier this month before being banned from Twitter.
Instead, Trump left Washington D.C on Air Force One this morning...
And headed for the Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida.
But regardless of Trump's controversial absence, the inauguration went ahead smoothly...
And the entire world watched on as President Biden and his vice president, Kamala Harris, made their way through the sacred ceremony.
Biden's swearing-in was an emotional moment for many Americans...
And it signalled a whole new era for our country.
And of course...

How can we not mention Lady Gaga's performance of the national anthem?!
Biden's first speech as president struck a chord with viewers, too.
The new president gave a lengthy and emotional speech, where he addressed the deeply divided nation on what the next 4 years will hold under his ruling.
Biden promised to "write an American story of hope"...
As well as weighing in on the devastating effects of the coronavirus pandemic and the issue of racial inequality across the country.
"Millions of jobs have been lost. Hundreds of thousands of businesses closed. A cry for racial justice, some 400 years in the making, moves us. The dream of justice for all will be deferred no longer. A cry for survival comes from the planet itself, a cry that can't be any more desperate or any more clear now."
He also became the first POTUS to ever challenge white supremacy in his inauguration speech.
He said this:
"The rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism, that we must confront and we will defeat. To overcome these challenges, to restore the soul and secure the future of America, requires so much more than words. It requires the most elusive of all things in a democracy - unity."
All in all, it has been a very successful day for the forty-sixth president...
But, of course, the internet is distracted by something else entirely.
As stated earlier, Chrissy Teigen has faced the wrath of the internet after tweeting about the ceremony.
The former model, who is usually praised for her social media antics, has been put on blast for her tweet.
For those who don't know, her husband, John Legend, was invited to perform at President Joe Biden's inauguration ceremony.
Plenty of people have slammed the star...
Hey Chrissy DC residents aren’t very “happy” right now and can’t even “happy pack” their cars to drive to the grocery store because of the military state the city is in but yeah LOL come on down especially in a pandemic. How happy!!!

Uhm, the DC area would’ve been shut down anyway because of Inauguration Day. But, I guess it’s easier to blame someone else for your first world problems. 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏾♀️

Um since when do people in DC drive to get groceries. I wasn’t made to walk miles growing up for fun. Finding parking there normally is a nightmare the whole reason my grandpa lives in DC is cause he doesn’t need to drive anywhere. She just wants to start shit

However, some jumped to Chrissy's defense.
Our entire country is a mess right now and you're bitter that she and her family are HAPPY to be in DC for the inauguration?? Pause and step back.
— JФФLS☂ (@JulieLashea) January 20, 2021
Actually most of us in DC don't really give a fuck... 🤷🏽let her live.
— Ms Khea (@PlusSzeBarbie04) January 20, 2021
DC resident here (and yes, I do live near the Capitol, HAPPY that Chrissy and her fam are in DC to celebrate and commerate this historic inauguration and not at all salty that they were invited here. Stop being petty girl, damn.

This was the tweet that got everyone talking.

Did this really warrant the backlash? No, I don't think it did either...
But Chrissy wasted no time defending herself.
this is not my fault but I’m sorry you’re frustrated. I just like to share what we are up to and whatnot https://t.co/bgvtjMu5IC

She replied to the tweet that caused the backlash, writing:
"This is not my fault but I'm sorry you're frustrated. I just like to share what we are up to and whatnot."
What do you think? Should Chrissy have stayed at home? Or is she within every right to travel to our nations capital?
