Chrissy Teigen Quits Twitter After Horrendous Bullying | 22 Words

It seems that Chrissy Teigen has had enough of the online trolls as she has quit Twitter following some disgusting comments about her children...

Chrissy Tiegen is a woman who stands for absolutely no nonsense...

But it seems that the constant online trolling has finally gotten to become too much for the mom of 2.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are one of the internet's most beloved celebrity couples.

Musical star John is married to model, Chrissy, and the pair have a huge public presence.

They are Hollywood's sweethearts...

The pair got together over a decade ago and have gone from strength to strength ever since.

Their romance began in 2007.

Chrissy first met her husband on the set of his 2007 music video for “Stereo," where she starred as the singer's love interest. The model, author, and TV personality later revealed that when the shoot was over, the pair went back to John's hotel room, ate at In-N-Out, and hooked up. "We did the music video, we were together for like 12 hours," she told Wendy Williams in 2014. "We spent the entire day together, me in my underwear and him in a full suit, and I went to go say goodbye to him, to his hotel and we didn’t even say goodbye that night."

While John was on the road, the couple talked and texted a lot.

But it wasn't long before Chrissy joined her beau on tour. Although the pair had a mini-break up during this time... that lasted a day. "He was feeling really bummed and stressed out [on tour]. He was like, ‘I can’t be in a relationship right now.’ That lasted for one day. Literally, a day. I knew it came from a place other than us not working."

After fiery beginnings, the couple settled down with one of many trips to Italy.

The couple took their first trip to Lake Como, Italy - the future site of their wedding and filming location for the music video of the smash hit “All of Me" - in 2007. Apparently, it was on this getaway that Chrissy knew that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with this man.

After 4 years of dating, John got down on one knee.

He proposed during a romantic vacation in the Maldives over the festive season - which is Chrissy's favorite holiday.

The pair got hitched on September 14, 2013, in Lake Como.

But they (legally) got married in an NYC courthouse, a day before traveling to Italy. "We actually got married after going to a couple of Fashion Week shows at Vera Wang, ironically who actually did my dress, but we got married at the courthouse right after," Chrissy explained to E! News.

The couple share 2 children together.

Chrissy gave birth to their daughter, Luna Simone Stephens, on April 14, 2016, and son, Miles Theodore Stephens, on May 16, 2018.

The pair have since cemented themselves as a firm Hollywood power couple...

And they are a pivotal part of the celebrity scene and their fans lap it up (especially where Chrissy's relatable social media posts are concerned... let's be honest, she's comedy gold).

All in all, they are truly family goals...

And it's Chrissy's ongoing social media presence which has truly cemented her as an internet favorite.

She has also proven she really is the best celebrity on Twitter.

In fact, she's pretty much the queen of Twitter.

She's not one for sugar-coating...

And there's no denying that the model keeps things real.

She's also been open about parenting...

And posts content that so many parents can relate to.

But the one thing that she is best known for online...

Is not being afraid to call people out.

Last month, Chrissy took to Twitter to share a video of herself rocking a black bathing suit...

And we must say, she looked absolutely incredible.

Of course, the mom was showered with compliments by fans...

But with the internet being the internet, cruel trolls began body-shaming Chrissy, with one even saying that she was "shaped like Sponge Bob."

Chrissy decided to address these cruel comments...

Firstly, she replied to a concerned fan with "yeah they're super mean lmao."

She then addressed the "square-shaped" insult...

And she empowered herself in the best way possible by saying she doesn't have "surgically enhanced" curves and that she has been square-shaped for her entire life.

Fans have always admired Chrissy for being able to stick up for herself...

But it seems that the trolls have taken things a step too far recently.

Chrissy has now switched her Twitter account to private...

And she has spoken out about taking a break from social media following a dispiriting Twitter experience with New York Times food writer, Alison Roman.

Alison recently criticized Chrissy's food projects and social media accounts as a "content farm" in a recent interview...

And even though the writer went on to apologize to Chrissy for her comments, this ultimately caused an influx of hate towards the model and her family.

Things turned ugly...

And Chrissy decided to address them in a final way.

"I really hate what this drama has caused this week. Calling my kids Petri dish babies or making up flight manifests with my name on them to 'Epstein island', to justify someone else’s disdain with me seems gross to me so I’m gonna take a little break," she tweeted.

She then commented obliquely on how people online had begun attacking her following an initial wave of supportive posts.

"This is what always happens. The first day, a ton of support, then the next, 1 million reasons as to why you deserved this. It never fails."

Some time away from social media is exactly what Chrissy needs...

But it is disgraceful that this is what she has had to resort to in order to escape the cruel words of millions of people.

Something needs to be done about the influx of cruel people online...

And we sincerely hope that Chrissy will be okay during this difficult time. Keep scrolling to read about why Kim Kardashian has been trolled recently...
