Although the acceptance surrounding the LGBTQ community is now bigger than ever...

Minorities continue to exist who refuse to accept those in this community.

It seems that some people just can't accept that not everyone is heterosexual...

And this is especially the case when it comes to young people and children.

Of course, it is known that children go through phases...

But according to the NSPCC, it is completely normal for a child or young teenager to realize their sexualities and even come out as gay, bisexual, or even transgender.

If this is to happen, the child will need a lot of love and support from their family and peers...

And what they don't need is to be isolated or excluded for expressing how they feel.

But sadly, not every child or young person is lucky enough to receive the support they need...

And this brings us to today's shocking story about an 8-year-old girl who was expelled from her Christian school for having a crush on another girl... and people have been left gob-smacked.

So, the Christian school in question is a part of the Rejoice Christian Schools in Owasso, near Tulsa.

We all know that many people who practice the Christian faith completely disagree with the concept of homosexuality and see it as an unforgivable sin.

Of course, with us living in such a revolutionized era, many Christians now accept the LGBTQ community for who they are...

But it seems that the people of the Rejoice Christian Schools certainly aren't willing to jump onboard the acceptance train just yet.

Delanie Shelton's 8-year-old daughter, Chloe, was expelled from the prestigious school this week after telling another girl she had a crush on her.

The young girl was then left in tears after a teacher told her that the Bible only allowed her to marry a man.

Delanie stepped in to defend her daughter when she found out what happened...

And she told Fox 23 News, "Chloe said the vice-principal sat her down and said 'the Bible says you can only marry a man and have children with a man'. My daughter was crying saying 'Does God still love me?'. The vice-principal asked me how do I feel about girls liking girls and I said 'if we're being honest, I think it's okay for girls to like girls' and she looked shocked and appalled."

This is what resulted in Chloe, along with her 5-year-old brother, being expelled.

"They ripped my kids out of the only school they've ever really known away from their teachers and friends they've had over the past 4 years over something my daughter probably doesn't know or fully understand," Delanie said.

The mom went on to note that she was trying to raise her child with the view that people should be allowed to love whoever they wanted, no matter their gender...

But now, the family is faced with trying to find a new school for their 2 children in the middle of a pandemic.

"Whatever makes people happy, they should be allowed to do."

"She was upset and crying and asking me if God still loves me if she is wrong for the way that she feels," Delanie explained.

"The superintendent called me and let me know that they would be ending their partnership with our family."

The school reportedly told Delanie that they do not condone any relationships on campus...

And it's very much apparent that they won't be allowing Chloe and her brother back into their classrooms, even though the children did absolutely nothing wrong.

Do you think that the school was way too harsh to expel the children? Or do you think their policies hold a fair view?
