Previously, Coco Austin has defended her decision to still breastfeed her daughter Chanel…
The TV personality hit back at those critiquing her decision in an interview with Us Weekly.
“Chanel still likes my b**bs,” she said.
“It’s a big bonding moment for a mother and your child.”
Speaking with the outlet, she revealed that she still breastfeeds Chanel as she “likes a little snack every now and then.”
However, she does also “eat steak and hamburgers.”
She added: “Why take that away from her? … If she doesn’t want it, all right, that’s where you stop it. But I’m not just going to say no.”
Breastfeeding past a certain age can be a controversial choice, which is why Austin has previously defended her decision on numerous other occasions.
In 2019, Austin spoke with In Touch where she revealed that she expects Chanel to know when it’s time to stop.
“When she doesn’t want me, she’s going to not want me,” she said.
“Believe me, she’s not going to be like sixteen and be like, ‘Mom, can I have the b**b? and then a car.’
“She’s going to go through a time in her life where she’s like, ‘Okay, I got this Mom, I don’t need you.’ And right now she still wants me so I’m just going to accept it,” she said.
In 2020, Austin also had to explain that Chanel was mainly nursing at that point “just for comfort.”
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “Believe me, the girl loves meat so it’s not like she isn’t eating real food. Thank you to all that understand my view. I see most of you are so eager to side with me and I too root for you in your journey as well. Us moms are connected.”
In her interview with Us Weekly, Austin also opened up about her daughter’s bedtime routine…
As she explained that she and her partner, Ice-T, “don’t mind” letting their daughter stay up late.
“We’re more of night entertainment. People have to understand, we have different times. Sometimes, I work until 2 in the morning.
“When [Ice-T’s] on tour, he’s doing a show at twelve at night… So we transfer it a different way. Chanel gets up at eleven in the morning,” she explained.
Austin also revealed that she lets her daughter decide where she sleeps, with her sometimes choosing to sleep in bed with her parents.
And she has recently defended herself once again after receiving backlash for bathing her daughter in the kitchen sink.
Austin shared a TikTok of her daughter in the sink as she was getting ready for the Patricia Field fashion show.
Chanel could be seen playing on her iPad in the sink, while Austin got glammed up for the event.
The mom explained: “The sink is easiest when you have to be fast.”
And it seems some weren’t happy about her decision.
“I think she’s a bit old for the sink,” one TikTok user wrote.
While another added: “She’s definitely old enough to bathe herself.”
Austin later took to Twitter to defend her “unconventional” parenting decision.
“Wow just Wow! Here we go again!” she wrote of the backlash. “Giving my lil girl a bath in the sink went Viral? SMH!
“People, you gotta know by now that I’m an unconventional mother.
“I do what works and is easier on me. Some may want to take some pointers rather than rag on me!” she said.

Austin soon hit back at trolls again.
She opened up about the backlash she’s received online to Page Six at Heidi Klum’s Halloween party.
“They’re like, on me,” Austin revealed.
She added: “But the thing is, everybody’s a hypocrite I feel because they do certain weird things in their house.”
Austin shared that she didn’t see why people were so bothered about her parenting choices.
“I don’t think that bathing my daughter in the sink is weird.
“If I have a huge-a** sink, why not? It’s just easier for me,” she said,
“And if I have to carry her everywhere and it’s just easier to bring a stroller, why not? She’s petite, she’s super small, and it’s easier.”
“I just don’t understand. Why go after me over something so stupid? It’s a stroller. It’s our baby in a sink,” Austin continued.
“Like, come on people, next thing you’re going to say, ‘Oh, you’re kissing her wrong,’ you know?” she said.
The TV personality also told the outlet that she’s “very careful because everybody says I do play the sexy mom role, they’re always looking at me under a microscope.”
Austin added that she’s very protective of her daughter…
And that she “knows what’s right and wrong” when it comes to looking after her.
“I’m very, very protective of her, and going after me for these little things while there’s war? I’m like, ‘Really guys, you’re gonna go after me?’ Does that even make sense?” she said.
Austin also spoke about her daughter using social media and how she has to monitor what she posts.
“Chanel really likes social media right now and it’s scary just to see she’s very innocent about the world,” Austin shared. “In my eyes, there are things that I have to crank down and be like, ‘Babe, the world won’t see it the way you see it.’ We see it but can’t post it.”
She continued: “Chanel knows how to post before asking me now so I don’t know what will be posted before and I’m not worried what she might post but what other people might think of the postings.”
Austin engaged in a conversation with Tamron Hall recently, where she broke down into tears as she spoke about the online parenting police.
“I’m underneath a microscope all the time, and you don’t hear what good you do,” she said in E! News’ sneak peek of Tuesday’s Tamron Hall episode.
“You don’t hear the goodness, you just hear a lot of bad,” Austin said.
“And I know I’m a good mother.”
She added: “Putting everything aside, my career, everything, just for her … you just want a little love, you want a little respect from people.”
Austin has also made it clear that she can be s*xy and “still be a mother.”
According to Page Six, the model also told Tamron Hall that she doesn’t “think people need to change after having a child.”
She even said that some people thought she would change the way she dressed because she had a baby.
“I think people thought, being Coco, I was gonna have a child and start dressing different [and] acting different, but it’s like, I’m still myself but a motherly self.
“I can still have my s*xiness and still be a mother,” Austin said.
“I don’t have to shut that down.”
She also added that she is “not dumber” because she wears “tighter” clothes.
