Chris Martin halted the show and asked the crowd if they could “try that again” without using their phones or cameras.
Martin wanted to do something unique at Coldplay’s latest gig.

The band is currently on their ‘Music of the Spheres’ world tour.
But a special moment took place when Martin suddenly stopped singing mid-way through ‘Sky Full of Stars’…

He said: “Wait, hold on, one second. I think we can make this better; hold on.”
It seemed like the band was running short on time and still had quite a few albums to get through.

The frontrunner of the band said: “I’ll speed through this because we wanna get all the songs in before they shut the thing down.”
He added: “So, let’s try that again but please, if we could just have one song with no cell phones, no cameras, no devices, nothing, just the power of people, people power.”

And, of course, the fans happily accepted his request.
The crowd erupted in applause, praising the band for performing one of their hit songs with no phones present.

Martin also said: “I won’t do the whole speech because it takes ages, but the basis of it is, let’s just connect together as one group of people and see how high you can jump, how loud you can shout, and no phones, no cameras.
“After this song, you can film everything. But for this one song, let’s just be people together, me, you, my brother, my sister, and let’s try it again.”

A lot of users online loved the fact that Martin wanted to perform a song with no phones or cameras out.
The TikToker who uploaded the video was clearly in agreement and approved Martin’s request.

He captioned: “Without a doubt, the highlight of the night came shortly after this video ended.”
One user left a comment, wishing he had made the request earlier in the gig.

“If he could do this before the concert starts, it would be even better,” they wrote.
Other users who attended Martins’s previous concerts say that it was all “planned.”

Which explains the “whole speech” he referred to earlier on.
Nonetheless, Martin and his band had left a mark on the crowd that night, making the crowd feel reunited and together as one.
